Just put this together. Very well built. Took about 90-mins with some breaks. Good directions, and all bags labeled very well. Comes with the riser, so although technically 3/4 size, but height is good in my opinion to play standing up. (I am 6'2" and have no complaints). I have several MAME machines (cocktail/Desktop), but none with trackball/spinner so this was a good addition for the trackball/spinner specific Atari games.

This has a track ball, a spinner dial and buttons.
Most games will not play on it because it has no joystick.
It's sort of a specialty layout for spinner and trackball games
millipedes, centipedes, tempest, asteroids
The track ball on the atgames legends pro semi- sucks, even though for the $99 I got it for it completely rocks for the price with all the extra games that can be installed.
I missed the last $250 deal and was bummed. I looked at a bunch of reviews. In two reviews, it was said that the track ball was really good. and no complaints about the spinner.
I bought one. Probably shouldn't have! too much stuff.
It's a great deal if you are in to the games it comes with.
I don't count on anyone making game expansions for this thing because it doesn't have core demand and bulk sales. It could happen. would be nice to play some of the shooting games on a good trackball.
I think mostly Gen X guys by these and never play them
What does static spinner mean? (nothing came up in Google). And, does this not have a vertical screen? In the pictures it looks vertical and slanted back 15 degrees or so.
I bought one. At this price I might upgrade to the best spinner available. All I have to do is figure out what spinner that is.
I figure I can turn a deep discount like this in to a franken-masterpiece.
I believe this one is tge spinner upgrade you are looking for, but please doublecheck for me, memory ain't what it used to be: LINKY[amazon.com]
(Currently on sale for $39.99, previously I alwats saw it at $49.99)

Edit: Speaking of which, if anyone knows the model # of the best spinner you can get for this thing please let me know.
It doesn't free spin and isn't weighted. The screen is horizontal for the other games like asteroid but sucks for tempest or centipede. This spinner will work https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07P5WJ...to_dp_vv_d The new arcade 1 ups will require a trackball spinner but the new arcade1up spinners are better.
I'd really want to see a Stargate/Defender version. That would be even more niech than this Tempest one. Could only play Stargate and Defender on it, unless other controls were added too. Would be crowded.

What do you mean 'new arcade 1 ups will a trackball spinner'? Do you mean it's a good idea to upgrade the trackball in the new 1 ups?
I'm starting to wonder if I'd be happier with the new version. What I'm getting so far is it has a larger cab, better spinner, 1 more game, Lunar Lander, and wifi for leaderboards. Am I missing anything?
Do you think the new 1 up spinner is better than the ThunderStick upgrade spinner?
I see a ThunderSkick upgrade trackball for $40 too. Is that one better than the stock version on the tempest console?

I just downloaded the original Tempest manual. The original dimensions are
25 1/4 W x 32 D x 69 1/2 H
This one is
19" W x 22.75" D x 57.8" H (45.8" H without riser)
OP mistakenly put the Shipping Box dimensions (6'-3/4" x 47-3/4" x 23-3/4")
The upcoming Centipede version dimensions are
18.90" W x 22.85" D x 57.8" H
If the slender, yet-pretty-tall build doesn't make for an annoying play experience then the small footprint might turn out to be a long term blessing in a home.
Another advantage of this deal is when my friends asked where I bought it I can say "Nordstroms"

I don't know why 1UP would use that layout. They totally botched it.
To play, the 2 direction (up, down) joystick is essential, and so is the button placement.
4 or 8 direction joystick would cause havic.
Potentially I could make my own if I could source a 2 way joystick. I even saw a template when I was looking for that picture.
EDIT: people in that thread are saying the template is inaccurate

So if I bought the same model AtGames Legend Pro right now for $279.99 at walmart.com then and only then I should expect a better trackball?
