I second this. Falls out much more easily, particularly when I smile. The sound is so much better though that I just walk around with permanent bitch face now 😂

To each his own, here is my experience
Second gen fits better
Third gen has better sound

I found third gens too big for my ear and they fall out easy

Great deal, tried the third gens and while yes they do have better sound quality these are 10x more comfortable for me and good enough sound quality. At $100 it's a great buy imo

No version of these can match even a basic set of headphones like Koss PortaPros, and they'll quickly become e-waste. It's hard to deny their futuristic form factor, though. I think $80 might be the tipping point for me if rowing with a phone in my chest pocket doesn't work out.

I use the second gen AirPods as my primary headphones for conference calls and they are great. For anyone that spends hours talking on the phone, these just fit better than the Pros or any similar design that seals in the ears.
