This is with bestbuy, so no bill credit involved, it's instant trade in value that deducts from the sale price, and tax is on the deducted selling price too. Don't mislead others.

ATT is $100 cheaper further. $500 for mini and $600 for regular. But trade in values are horrible.

T-Mo is still the best in value overall.

The two Pricing Options appear on the product page itself. Here's a screenshot.

I hope this helps,

Thanks - I was just about to post my own screen shot. Folks have been getting thrown off by that website since September - not sure why. I assumed they were on a phone and would tell them to go to a real browser on a website.

Exactly, I don't want to get into this situation hence wanted to add a line and trying to figure out a cheapest plan possible to add a new line.
Hi SDers, can you help me revise the Q&A from the wiki. I wrote it and it's obviously confusing to some folks. Thanks for your help.

Q: What is the cheapest T-Mobile plan that works for this promotion?
Ans: The cheapest T-mobile postpaid plan that works for this promotion is $20/month per line. Plan name is "Unlimited Talk & Text Only". You cannot sign up for it online, you have to call in, chat, or visit a store / reseller. https://www.t-mobile.com/offers/u...hone-deals

Just to add or revise the question before adding to Wiki, is it not possible to add/activate a line on this plan at best buy store ?

Picked up my 13 Pro Max from Best Buy (using one-time/pay-off option for T-Mobile) this morning then activated the it using an T-Mobile sim card that is already on an active post-paid T-Mobile account (my sister's). I can tell that the phone is now locked to T-Mobile.

How long do I need to wait before reaching out to T-force asking them to unlock the phone? Also, does the sim card has to stay in the phone the whole time or at least physically be in the phone at the time of contacting T-force so that T-Mobile can recognize and pick it up? Basically trying to get it unlocked ASAP to use on my active AT&T account.

I could have put in my AT&T sim card in the first place but ultimately want the phone unlocked since I already paid it off with T-Mobile. Did not want to risk getting the phone locked to AT&T first then having no easy/free option to unlock it between AT&T and T-Mobile.

Thank you.

Have your sister ask for the unlock since you used her SIM. Send her a scanned copy of the best buy receipts. Once they hear "Best Buy" they dump the unlock work to a third party firm who has a commitment to get in done within 72 hours. Twitter or Facebook are the easiest outreach for her. I just told them I needed a different carrier on each SIM due to my employment.

You can order using his TMo acct and your Best Buy acct. When you pick it up, they will ask for your ID and that's it. Don't think your friend needs to be there.
I have my friend's name and account number. But when I tried to order from my BestBuy account, it also asks for last 4-digits of SS#.
Is there anything else I need besides my friend's last 4-digits of SS# ?

Hi SDers, can you please advise me on this purchase? I have an iphone 11 that I bought from total wireless on a previous deal this month that I have yet to activate (I will activate before trading in). I want to trade in the iphone 11 for the iphone 13. I am buying the phone with no payment plans. However, I do not want to be on the Tmobile plan. Can I just wait until 40 days and let the phone unlock or do I need to purchase a plan for 2 months for the phone to unlock?

My goal is to switch this phone over to a prepaid service.

My apologies. I am not the best at technology but I can follow steps. lol

I just noticed that Best Buy included SIM cards with the phones we purchased (no mention was made of the SIM cards when I picked up the phones).

Can we disregard those SIM cards, and continue using our existing T-Mobile SIM cards with these new phones?

Just reached out to T-force via FB messenger and asked them to unlock the phone for me due to international work travel. They went ahead and did it without any fuss (took less than 5 minutes from their end). I then factory reset the phone and upon connecting to iTunes, it was confirmed again that the phone has been unlocked.

Don't know how common it is that they approve unlock so easily but I am happy I asked and got it immediately instead of waiting a couple of days. Also happy that I opted for this route to unlock the phone vs. risking the AT&T sim trick.

Can you elaborate on this more? You bought a 13 through your sister's account, then messaged T-Force on FB, told them the IMEI, and they unlocked it right away? Did you have to send them any documents or receipts? Did you say it was coming from your sister's account? Thank you!

I have unlocked around 8 at least through T-Force. I believe only once I was told to wait 40 days. Rest of the times it was unlocked either in 5 minutes or in 3 days. For the latter, they had to escalate it to different department since Tmobile was not registering the phones correctly, though all phones were activated the same way.
I guess purchasing through Bestbuy helps because they had to submit the request to a third party for that.

Correct. I used my sister's T-Mobile account info to purchase 13 pro max at Best Buy as an upgrade to her existing line (I did opt for full/1-time payment with Best Buy).

Picked up the phone this morning, used my sister T-Mobile sim card to set up the phone so the phone became locked to T-mobile.

I then reached out to T-force via FB messenger asking them to unlock the phone for me. All they asked for was IMEI and my sister mobile number. 5 minutes later, the phone is now unlocked. My sister has given me her full account login before when I tried to help her get Magenta Max insider hookup discount via FB messenger, which I did not succeed Frown

I am now happily using the phone on AT&T. Explained earlier that I could have popped in my AT&T sim card to begin with but ultimately want the phone unlocked so went this route, which turns out to be much easier than I imagine vs. risking the AT&T sim trick and have the phone locked to AT&T and be passed between AT&T and T-Mobile when asking for unlock.

Thanks for your input. Try requesting another unlock today. Maybe something changed between your try 2 days ago and today when ssk4u2 confirmed it worked for them. File a non-customer request with a new email address, new personal details, and no phone number.

Also, let's cover the basics:
1) This is for the iPhone, not Android.
2) Your iPhone phone should be fully setup and at the home screen.
3) Apple warranty check https://checkcoverage.apple.com/ shows your phone as activated.
4) Your iPhone works with only the AT&T sim and rejects other carrier sims.

Also, if this try doesn't work, post the error you are getting. Just saying the unlock site doesn't work is not helpful. There could be any number of possibilities, like you entering the wrong imei, you not confirming their email, your phone isn't registered to AT&T, etc.
Jesus Christ could you please sound more farking condescending.

The phone is activated and the error is just generic

" Looks like the IMEI number you entered doesn't match an AT&T Device."

Phone shows as SIM Locked and no other sims work.

Get off your farking high horse. I literally just did it right now again. It does not work.
