Neither of those statements are true. Only thing the C1 has going for it is VRR. The 77" panel of the A80J Is an evo panel that's unlocked so it's brighter than the 55" or 65" models. The 77" C1 is evo supposedly but software locked.

The sony also just beats out LG for image quality so not sure what you mean. Side by side screens really show how crushed LG is compared and upscaling is also much better as well as calibration out of the box.

Yes tried the magic phone number and Twitter DM. Ah, wasn't aware of a 4 year mark. 7/21 would have been 53.x months/4.5 years. That would make sense if that was why I was denied.

Unfortunately that's probably what got you. There's a guy on the C7 Owners thread right now that hit 4 years in Dec and was shot down in Jan (and also sent to the Letters to the President). As that 4-year Mark had been highly rumored in the past I purposely submitted mine a few weeks before I hit it and had no problem (approved for new panel in two days). I'm planning to move that 65C7 post panel swap to my office and pick up a 77C1 this week or next.

Also interested in what the OP's issue is with Android or Google TV.

I'm currently using a Chromecast with Google TV through HDMI and my only issues with it is the limited storage. I'm not interested in installing extra storage on it so I can have all my streaming services.
