The in-ceiling system delivers true height to the stage, that no Atmos system with up-firing speakers can emulate, not even close to, and not even with a low and flat ceiling. This is not just my experience, it is the general census in pro reviews and feedback you can read on the AVS Forum etc.
I just went through your comments. You don't even own a proper in-ceiling Atmos system, so you don't know the difference.

This is a really great system for the price, just make sure to update the firmware if it isn't already. (Call Vizio and they will send you a free USB stick with an update)
I've had this hooked up to 2 different 📺 📺
A 65u8g
75QN85A and it sounds and works great.
The atmosphere however is hard to differentiate and unfortunately you really need dedicated ceiling speakers to achieve atmos.
I use this with my C1 and it's awesome
It could be annoying for someone who likes to use multiple devices like an AppleTV and a gaming console. The soundbar does have a direct HDMI IN, but only one so you'd have to manually swap if a slight audio delay sounds like a pea under your mattress.

and it seems like soundbars also suffer from the audio delay. Is there a fix for this?
I am also thinking of buying a receiver and bookshelf speakers since I heard the audio delay will go away if you plug the xbox/apple tv to the receiver.
