Even within the US, if you take out TextNow's SIM card and just use WiFi, your current TextNow services would still work as they do today. Your current TextNow also still works if you sign in to the same TextNow account on other compatible devices connected using WiFi or cellular data.
Outside the US, you will need to either use WiFi or provide cellular data, swapping your international SIM card in for TextNow's if your device only has a single SIM card slot, to continue using TextNow as you've had been.

because, how in the world can you get into any problems after paying $1 with a burner CC for +500MB.
at one point i had 13 FP sim cards. the only issue that I had was that one of the sims arrived 2-3 weeks late.
i am still using FP with the 1GB/moth @ 25 per year plan (using G-voice). ZERO issues . . .
Does 911 work?
Textnow is not different from any other company that can keep charging you regardless of your resistance to it. so the smart thing to do with anything that cost $1 or is a small company is to protect yourself via a gift card or a burner. if that concept is too difficult for you to overcome, you will always be a victim. and arguing about it is moot considering that you have already been informed.

And yes. I am saying that here on slickdeals well knowing the audience. The experience with them was that bad.
I had four phones on Freedompop Free plans for a number of years. I checked when the guy sold them a couple of years ago, they still worked so left them alone.
They got bought. The buyer put these free plans on $4/mo plans, opt out only.
I noticed this a couple months into credit card statements, was out $32. An hour on their service line got me half back.
F that.
Question for all, probably answered here somewhere--I did this Textnow deal on an old Sprint phone a year ago, and it still works. Will I need a new sim?
