These are fine speakers. Similar to the originals, but the Bluetooth implementation is horrible. No security so if you live in an apartment complex or something like that it's bad. Anyone can connect to them at any time without a code and play music, and all you can do about it is unplug them.

I was honestly relieved when the Bluetooth module finally died in mine after about 9 months. They've been great since.

So be aware of that if you buy them. You may end up wanting to disable the module some day.

From the reviews most people like the sound but not the fact that most say there is an annoying hum while wired or Bluetooth. That and you can't tun them off without unplugging it. And many reviewers (actually a lot) say one speaker will stop working. I see them for $64 around me but I really don't have the time to waste on speakers that have all those bugs and a probable short life. -and that's if the store definitely has them. Factor in brickseek and you can forget it. I'm out.

Are these better or worse than the original model? Did they finally add a power button?

My store has 4 in stock with $50.00 price as per brickseek.

I tried bluetooth speakers ( via a sound bar) some 2 years back. And my experience was, sound was delayed by some noticeable time.. may be a second or less than a second but that was very annoying for me and then I got rid of those bluetooth speakers. I am not sure, same is true for this speakers or not.. Just to give an Idea..

I have a feeling this will hit $30 in a few weeks 😉
It will if stores keep stock. One of my local stores has it listed for $30 but I missed the markdown. Guessing someone bought them out to resell. This is a backwoods Walmart that's not even a supercenter if that tells you anything.

Plug them into an Echo Dot and you'll have an amazing WiFi/Bluetooth smart speaker.

How reliable is brickseek in terms of pricing (not availability)? Asking because I'm seeing a local store that had them listed at $15. Could that be true? Most of my local stores however have them listed at $65. But for $15.. if that's real pricing.. you couldn't beat that!

If you're watching a movie/tv program and getting a sound delay that's more a problem with your source than the speaker. The speaker can't do anything about it, but the source should adjust the timing to account for the delay. Most phones and media players do this correctly now, but not all. Since it's a source problem it will happen with any Bluetooth speaker you use with that source.

I have these and they have major issues with humming.
