I have the MF642Cdw and it works very well. Only complaint is that when you remote print, you have to go to the printer to tell it what tray to use... even if only 1 tray is loaded. It's very annoying but other than that it's been great.

I mucked around with the settings until it autoprinted on the right tray. I can't remember what I did though. And then I had a lot of trouble trying to get it work off the feeder for a one off.

Your computer is asking for a different paper type than the printer has loaded (or it think it has loaded). You need to change the paper type setting in your printer.
