The price of Amazon Prime Membership will increase from $119/year to $139/year. The change will occur sometime in the next month or so (possibly on March 1, 2022). Prime Student price is also increasing from $59/year to $69/year.
Suggestion
You can lock in the $119 price by purchasing a Gift of Prime membership. These cost $119 right now and they never expire – set your Prime membership not to auto-renew by cancelling the membership using the 'Manage My Membership' tab, and then when it expires you'll apply the Gift of Prime to your account. (You won't lose your full current membership year when cancelling membership, as will be clear on the final screen; they even give the option on the final screen to 'pause' membership.)

Yes, they fixed it every time, but the hassle and time wasted 😞
Worse, one of the items: I had to call them twice.
Finally talked to a "team lead".
I know the pandemic has been brutal to the Supply Chain. But the *same* mistake over and over again?
And now, I'm not even sure what I have missed to check/verify.
Venting aside, it is true that Amazon logistics, packing, shipping, and customer service have been declining for the last 2+ years.
Thus, good time to evaluate the Prime cost.

Key being promotional offers. Are they saying the year of prime from the gift will not have any promotions at all? That can be a serious deal breaker if that's what they are meaning.
Could also mean you can't get a discount on the $120 gift membership with any promotional offers. A bit more clarification should have been done in that wording.
