Honestly this tool is pretty useless, it's not fit for things you would use a grinder for and anything it's remotely good at just takes way too long and it's very underpowered. The only redeeming thing about this tool is the option to reverse the rotation of the blade. Other than that I'd take a hack saw, jig saw or a $15 HF grinder over this.

I have this tool and it's amazing, especially for a homeowner, enough power to cut anything a DIYer might want.
It come with 1 metal cut off wheel, 1 carbide abrasive blade, 1 diamond tile blade

If you need a wood blade, the following blade fits perfectly

Don't buy this if you don't know for sure where to use it. I'm a big Milwaukee fan, I own so many tools from Milwaukee, and this one is on the top of my regret list, and I'm stuck with it. I have a M18 fuel grinder, a lot more powerful and useful than this little weak thing.

Do you have a link to the review. I'm contemplating on getting this for automotive work as my pneumatic cut off tool can be a pain sometimes.
Might be this one https://fb.watch/aWO_EPFDAA/

It's not supposed to be a grinder. This is more a precision tool when you want to make similar cuts but more precisely.

I watched a review of all 3 version. Ridgid ryobi and m12. M12 was the most underpowered of the 3. The nay sayer said it was due to m12 cut off safety feature. Safety or not if it can't do the job it's not worth it
You would also be comparing 18V for the ridgid and ryobi tools with the milwaukee that only has 12V.

For those looking for a use case, it worked great for retrofitting an outlet into a tiled bathroom wall — grinder would have been clumsy, multitool would take forever, sawzall could shatter the tile and make a mess. Conduit would be another use (as some have mentioned) — haven't used it for that myself. Not something you'll use as often as other tools, but nice to have in certain situations.
I'm an electrician, I bought this exactly for cutting tiles for my wiring devices, when the tile people didn't do their jobs right. And it's weak, which made the cut unclean, and made me realize how much better my grinder could have done the job.

Well that's the game. No m18 version so you gotta compare it to what is available. As a person who has tools in all 3 platforms I'm going to go whoever has the best output for the same specs and very similar price point..

edit: this is one of those cases were form factor doesn't really matter with m12 usually having the favorable design.

I have one of these and find it very handy. I've cut through 1/8" steel, various heavy plastics, bolts, etc. I've also used to quickly cut down large heavy cardboard boxes. It has a great form factor, comfortable to hold, high rpm. With a decent sized battery this is a good deal at $120.

It also comes with a removable dust shoe that has a depth adjustment and vacuum attachment.
Thank you for the feedback.

I have this and it was great to cut through this steel mesh that was used on the drywall corners. Double layer of drywall with a skim coat of plaster. It is a nightmare to remove.
