Love my s4 max model so far. Got the s4 max because I didn't need mopping. The mapping feature within the app is awesome! Fencing out spots on the map where I have some cords or just a bunch of cat toys that I pick up and throw in a corner, is a life saver. Lots of options for scheduling and the map saving for multi-levels of the house has been great. Never gets stuck my rugs is a plus too! Looking back at the app after it's finished, it shows you exactly where its went and the spots it cleaned in that room! Best robot vacuum Iv owned so far hands down! Good price on this model too OP!

Got an S7 a couple months back for $440. It's been great. Just need to pick up the auto emptying dock when it goes back on sale.
Where did you get it?

Aliexpress appears to only be selling the eu plug version at the link you gave.
That's how I got mine. It's the same chord every printer and other appliances use.
You likely have one at home. The very first amazon search [amazon.com] results in $4.85.

Ah gotcha. I didn't realize it was just a cord swap. Still with the HD deal today I'd rather pay an extra $35 to not have to mess with it and have much easier returns if there's an issue. Either way it's good for people to spot the plug thing, but good find!

My S5 max mopping has failed after about 15 months. It stops using water sometimes. I have to reset the robot for it to start wetting the mop again.

I can't speak to it yet but I ordered a refurbished one from them directly (on eBay) and it comes with a 2 year alstate warranty. It was way cheaper too

I'm trying Ecovacs next. I see the self emptying Shark is on sale for $300 today. I'd try that if on a budget before Roborock.
I have 2 sharks. The self emptying is fantastic, but the mapping is complete garbage. I have reset the map countless times and it comes out different every time. When it runs it smashes into everything, the legs on my dining room table and chairs are scuffed up from the shark. This thing is so stupid that it can be 6 feet in front of the dock when it needs to charge and it takes another 5-10 minutes and bouncing around another 2 rooms before it comes back to find it's home. Sometimes it gets stuck in stupid places, but it's better than the ecovacs I've had in the past.

As long as it runs when I'm not watching it, I can live with it. But if I'm around when it's running it just pisses me off.

The software is Shark's Achilles heel from what I've heard in YouTube reviews. If the hardware is solid and they get good software releases out, they have a clear winner.

My S5 almost made it 3 years. Great path logic, mapping, and software. Disappointing quality. Always complains of incompatible brushes. Motor had to be replaced. Battery is dying, which messes with the computer, eg losing track where it is.
How often do you run it each week? That is the opposite experience we have had with our S5 and S5 MAX. We make sure to clean them every other time and I'm sure that is a big reason why they haven't failed.

Have this vac and love it. Note that they've finally announced a true successor to it: the Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra. I've been holding out buying another S6 MaxV in hopes of a newer model with self-empty. It took long enough, but I'm excited to jump on the Ultra once it becomes available. The sticker price on the Ultra is significantly more expensive, though. I'm sure it won't be anywhere near its MSRP, but it will easily cost $300+ more.

Pulled the trigger on this one. Between the high reviews and high tech features, I'm sold. Anything I should be weary of?

Anybody planning to buy should rather go for S7 on sale right now at $499 on HomeDepot. Much better model that this I would say in terms of mopping.
