This seems like a crazy low price for a name brand thermal imaging monocular. According to Adorama regular price is $3795 but these go online for $2500 - $2800 on a normal day.

We have a merchant team that is always negotiating promos with our vendors for new products. If something is refurbished or open box we always clearly state it on the product page.
Right now we have a lot of the same questions as you and will do what we can to make it right for everyone.

Since your researching the issue you may want to look into some of the pictures that look like they are in a lab of some sort. I wonder if any of those pictures have GPS location data to help fine-tune the mystery. If bought through a 3rd party vendor its anybody's guess but that location data may give you clues.

Hi there. I just wanted to reach out to you in good faith over a recent "FLIR" debacle. Is your company aware that a business by the name of Adorama, recently ran a HUGE (80% off) sale on your Scion series monoculars, and then sent 100's of consumers used/refurbished/defective units after marketing them as factory new? There has been many complaints issued to the BBB, FTC, and New York State Attorney General. I ask this because the company is continuing to place blame on FLIR and is accepting zero responsibility. They have stated on phone calls, emails, and now on a public message board where many people are complaining, that FLIR is the culprit. If FLIR is not guilty and not involved, I would think they would be very upset to know that their company name is being drug through the mud by a shady vendor. Please respond back when you're able. Thank you in advance.
If it gives you peace of mind, they received my return yesterday and issued a full refund this morning. No additional questions or followups. Very painless, all things considered.
So long Adorama. Last time i dealt with you before this fiasco was 2016 , after this I dont think I'll purchase from you again. I was never your customer to begin with but I'll make sure I'll share what happened with some of your loyal customers
