But I think you cannot port back to mint within 90 days of leaving
$20 to not worry about losing your number? Seems worth it to me, then you can always use wifi to make calls if you don't have cell service. Or get an obi and go old school...lol
Some previous slickdeals comments suggest that Mint added an IMEI check but you can get around that by activating through their website and not from the phone.

Any idea how long I can wait to activate the kit? Online says 45 days but people report it to be longer

Ik someone who just reupped at their usual 12mo at $15per with less than half that data i believe only 2 or 4gb a month. THese deals never pop up when theirs, a customer of several years now renews... is it possible to buy a few of these cards now, and save them until the end of the year, or is there an expiration?

Either way great deal for usual circumstances, thanks OP.

Each month 10gb and you can activate it at minimum in 4 months May be even more depending on an expiration date of this SIM card which is usually 12 months

Buy 2 and you have 6 months of cheap service, with a new activation. I usually get 2-3 of these and throw them away at the end of the 3 month period, because my main number is VoIP, not cell based.

Do I have to insert the physical SIM or can I do eSIM on my Pixel?
Mint supports esim on Pixels, but you may have to do activation with a physical SIM.

Google Voice is the way to go if you want to take advantage of these "new customer" deal over and over again, especially if you are on Android. Port your number over to Google Voice (one time cost of $20) and then keep using these "new customer" deals from one of the MVNOs as they happen. Google Voice is well integrated to Android, you can direct all calls through it if you want. I have been doing this for well over 10 years now.

Make sure you check the Sim is actually in there when you buy at store. Many of us the sim was gone

Somebody stated in a previous comment about 90 days, that wasn't true last year in my case when I ported back within 60 days.
If FAQ says 30 then you should be able to port back in 30. I used the same email address and phone number.
As far as the validity of these sim cards, they last for lot longer than 3 months. I activated my previous one after 8 months from the purchase from Best Buy
The problem is coordinating to be exactly 30d.
Otherwise, you need to be on another service for 60d and port like day 45.

I say Visible ($25/mo) if your phone is supported. The Mint 10GB is usually $35/mo.

Didn't they say they were taking away text forwarding from GV? I read that over a year ago, so I shied away from doing this with my #.

This is a new sim kit, means a new number or port in from another carrier. You can port out to other cheaper ones such as Ting and port back in.
Yes needs a portout portin cycle. Is Ting the best option?
What is the minimum cost to port out to Ting? TIA
