Screen is just 1080p. At $600 this isn't the best idea in the world but not the worst. It works with Monterrey but no telling how long support will last- I wouldn't expect the next os to be supported on it.

This is an old, obsolete computer now, and a much, much better buy is to get an M1 Mac Mini from Costco. There is no comparison at all between the two.
I picked up an M1 Mac Mini for my wife a while back from Costco and paid $569. Great and pretty powerful machine for a very affordable price.
Bring your own keyboard, monitor and mouse and you will have a vastly superior and more modern computer than this old Intel Mac. Most people have extras lying around and if they don't you can pick them up for cheap.
Buying an Intel Mac in 2022 is like buying a horse for family trips in 1909, a year after the Ford Model T was released. And the cost of the horse is more than the car.

I'd suggest the best priced Apple is a Hackintosh! 😁
Nowadays my nice fake-iMac Hackintosh mostly runs Windows and Linux because it's less work, and I continue to use my increasingly-outdated 2015 iMac for macOS because it just works (albeit slowly).
And now that you can get an M1 Mac under $600, going Hackintosh makes a lot less sense unless you just happen to have macOS-compatible hardware in your current non-Mac computer.
