I played it for the Wii U and went in blind thinking it would be a cheap kid's game. Quite the opposite. I think it's one of Nintendo's best platformers.

The latter of the two. Not as frustratingly hard as parts of Metroid Dread, but not a cupcake walk in the park like most Kirby games.

Probably a little complex mechanically. Luigi's Mansion 3 might be a good option.
