This is a steal. RoG version of the AC86U with special capabilities such as 160mhz (Granted it drops to 2x2 mode and performs worse than the native 4x4 mode in 80mhz @ long range.

When I had both, this specific model out performed the AX86U on early firmware when tested in the same channels with an intel AX200 card. (subjective environment). I can't tell you if that's still the case as I returned my AX86U early on in favor of this model. (I've used/tested most popular higher end AX/AC routers with broadcom hardware including the 6E RoG one that came out half a year ago).

Max bandwidth @ 30 feet is around high 600s low 700s for me on a 1G fiber plan. (subjective environment).

Again, this is one of the best AC routers on the market. Out performs tons of AX routers at range.

Any wifi6 router in this price range is significantly worse in regards to actual range/performance.

You have to tread into $200 sale price on 4x4 AX radios to find something competitive.
