I have a French press, chemex, aeropress, Hario v60 and Gaggia Classic.

Of all of these…. My Hario V60 gets the most use followed by the Gaggia. The Chemex is nice (similar to the Bodum) if I'm making enough for two or more people. But, for a single cup it's hands down the Hario.

I recommend the cheaper plastic Hario over the ceramic. The ceramic is beautiful, but it draws the heat away from the coffee during the pour over. The plastic does not. The cleanup is super easy. Throw out the filter and rinse the Hario under the faucet. Maybe wash it once every week or two.

Also, it does come down to taste preference.

I agree. I've had my Hario V60 for 2 weeks and love it. I got the glossy red one; it comes with a scoop. It makes a really good cup of coffee and you can't beat the price. There is no grit in my coffee.

I wouldn't get either. Get the oxo single cup brewer [amazon.com]. I've had a lot of coffee makers of all different types, this one is the best for single cup drip. So easy to clean and use.
I second this- I use the Oxo single cup and it has not disappointed.

I got rid of this thing after a few weeks for this very reason. I usually drink 3-4 cups over a couple of hours and, if your routine is similar, you probably won't enjoy the coffee as much after 45 min or so. It cools down too fast for my liking

I have this and be warned… when this is full of coffee or tea it is very hard to turn and pour without getting your fingers burned. There is no leverage in the tiny spot with the protective silicone. This thing NEEDS a handle or something to keep your fingers away from the hot beverage you just brewed. The area in the middle is too small to grip with more than 2-3 fingers. And it is so bottom heavy when full that 2-3 fingers is difficult to turn it to pour.

The bodum link shows the double walld version. But yes the other two links show the single wall version. So I'm thinking if you purchase through Amazon or Walmart you will get the single walled version

How's that Hario costing $10? Inflation intensifies

I have used a Melitta Filter Coffee Maker, Single Cup Pour-Over Brewer for years and like it a lot. I just add water twice to get enough to fill up my travel mug.

if you like to drink gritty muddy coffee... pourover is much better
Well... if done properly you don't get muddy coffee.... but it requires too many steps for some people. eg... the last two steps are to let sit for a few minutes and let the grounds settle then you should pour only 3/4 of the coffee.

Picked one up two months ago for $18.64 on Amazon and I like it well enough. The 34oz size is nice and the permanent filter means you don't need to worry about paper filters.

Mesh filter does allow a fair amount of particulates through, but this isn't really a big deal as long as you take care as you let the bulb shape do its job and don't try to pour out the entire contents of the carafe.

We have the cork version, and just pour it into an insulated thermos immediately after brewing.

It works well and it's nice not needing filters.

This isn't much of a deal though. This is the single walled version, despite the title here, and it's always around this price.

I have this same one and I like it. I do wish this deal is for the doubled wall version because I would like to try that.
