Also, here's a PSA: If you have a PS4 and disk-version PS5, go for the PS4 disk version. It'll unlock a free PS5 digital copy that will be playable with the disk inside of the console.
The Season Pass began hitting discounts recently with sales, so you can potentially wait until the Season Pass discounts before you go for it. However, another thing to consider is that you can also keep an eye out for sales on the digital versions (to get game + season pass, or with additional DLC).
Also, there is a big expansion releasing in a few weeks that is $40, and features a specific character from this game.

What are you talking about? The PS5 disc takes up the same amount of space, because whether you use the PS5 disc or get the upgrade, it's the same file size. You would still have to install the entire PS5 disc, just like you did on the PS4. You also don't have to install both the PS4 and PS5 version. You just put the disc in and download the upgrade from the store, and use the PS4 disc as a key. It makes absolutely no difference which disc you get. I have no idea where you guys keep getting the idea that you don't have to install the PS5 disc or that the PS4 disc somehow makes it take up more space. It's ridiculous. You clearly don't have a PS5, so stop trying to tell people things about it, because you have no understanding of it and you're just spreading false information.
I love Skyrim, but it never drew me in like these 3 do.
And the PS4 version is worth it for anyone who has both consoles and wants to play it on both consoles. If you have PS5 only, get it on PS5. If you have PS4 only, get it on PS4.

I think what this poster was indicating (that I think some are missing or misunderstanding) is that if you own BOTH a PS4 (Console) and a PS5 Disk (Console), to THEN get the PS4 version of the game (because then you have the option of playing the PS4 game on your PS4 Console AND the option to play the PS5 version of the game (digital) with your PS5 Console). This option will certainly take up more disk space on your PS5 Console, but at least you still provide yourself the option of being able to play the game on both consoles, if you wish. But definitely if disk space on your PS5 is a concern AND/OR you have little to no intent of keeping your PS4 console "alive", then definitely roll with the PS5 version in that case (since they're both the same price).
Despite what you may hear, this is not just like Origins and Odyssey. It's a big open world like those 2, but it has many elements that make it feel more like the older games in the moment to moment and stealth gameplay. For example, you can once again blend into crowds to avoid guards, and it is much easier to go full stealth in most missions. The last 2 AC games were more action focused whereas this is more a blend of classic AC with the open world elements of Origins and Odyssey. I can't say enough good about this game, and it's an insane value at this price!

Yeah if they're the same price, Id def go for the ps5 version. It's a lil annoying when you put a PS4 game into the PS5...and it shows both the PS4/PS5 versions on your dashboard, and may download both versions to your console unnecessarily.
Whenever I see these games deals pop up the game pics almost always say "Series X". Will these work with Series S console too or are the games for Series S explicitly supposed to say Series X/S or Series S?

You don't have to worry about it saying Series X. Games, themselves, aren't specific between the two consoles. However, this deal is for the physical version of the game. Since the Series S doesn't have a disc drive, you can't play this. You would have to go into the store on your console or web browser and buy the digital version, which is the $60 full price. The biggest downside of a digital-only console is that physical games are almost always way cheaper than digital.
As for the actual difference between playing the same game on the Series S vs the X; you just won't get most of the benefits you would from the Series X. Unfortunately, the Series S is significantly less powerful than the X. The S is just slightly a step up from the last generation of consoles. It can't do native 4K or ray-tracing, and games are still generally stuck at 30fps. The X can do native 4K, ray-tracing and up to 120fps.

Overall I prefer odyssey because of the richer building design, history and overall brighter color.
Gold edition doesn't contain the latest dlc.
Thats strange. All the gold editions I've bought of ubi games usually include at least some of the dlc and expansions, if not all of them. I know Odyssey gold contained all dlc expansions.
