4-Pack of 6-Outlet Philips Extender Surge Protector Wall Tap with 900 Joules for $20 + free shipping on $25+ or Prime

Gray [amazon.com] or White [amazon.com]

Walmart has them for the same price + free shipping with Walmart+ or on $35+

Black [walmart.com]
Gray [walmart.com] OOS
White [walmart.com]

A few details: the price for a single unit is usually $7 and up so the list price is a little off, does not have a mounting screw so I would not recommended for an outlet that is used a lot, does not have any USB ports and the light can be bright at first but you can/will easily get used to it.

Fine for what they are, good price.
Heads up, no retaining screw means these won't work great on an outlet you frequently plug/unplug from bc the whole thing will come out of the wall outlet

I came to make the exact same comment. You said it perfectly.

I wish at least reputed companies like Philips and GE try to use these products themselves and understand that usability suffers if,
1. They don't provide a pass-through retainer screw feature and
2. If the sockets are bunched up so close that it's impossible to have 3 plugs in a row - only 2 possible.

Don't they listen to customer feedback via Amazon reviews? Don't they have usability experts who actually test their products?

Outlets too close together, useless

This is better and only a little more

I know this is basically a powerstrip on the wall instead of a cord, but it still scares the crap out of me to plug these things into an outlet...

Why are you scared to plug these in? You should be scared of not plugging these in. I have several of these and they're awesome in places like the bathroom where you need to plug your toothbrush, hairdryer, shaver, clippers, etc in. I also have these in areas where i have fairly expensive equip like my router, camera system, monitor, etc.

This is basically a power strip w/ surge protection with a different form. Just don't go yanking out your cords and you'll be fine.

900V clamping voltage, per the Q&A. That's pretty high for most electronics you would want to protect against surges, this is definitely something that's more of a 'better than nothing' use case, rather than on your $5,000 gaming PC.

Came here to say the exact same thing. I really like these, but I'll never buy a model without the middle screw again!

Heads up, these are trapezoidal, have the mounting screw and appear to be roughly the same price: https://www.amazon.com/GE-Theater...B08RSHW87R

Those aren't surge protectors... at all. Just extenders.

+1

At a 900V VPR, you might as well consider this as a power strip not a surge protector. If you want a surge protector get one with a 400 or a 330 VPR.
