Thanks for being clear in the steps to redeem. As usual without reading proper steps and added a 3pk and the promo didn't work. Works if select one pack and add 3 qt. TQ OP

I just had to replace one LAST NIGHT. The sound went out while my son was playing a game on XBox. We tried every setting in the game. We tried every setting on the XBox. We could not figure out what went wrong. On a flyer, I decided to try a different cable because I was out of ideas. That was the issue. I took the Monoprice cable downstairs to our TV to test it there and same thing.....no sound.

So, I originally had a 3 pack. One is in use, one got replaced because it no longer carried video, and the final one from my son's room was replaced last night due to loss of sound.
These cables were purchased in April of 2021.

Monoprice cables have really gone downhill. I've had multiple ones of different types (HDMI, Displayport, etc.) fail on me.

Mine seem to work great, but alarming to see so many people with issues

I don't even know what you are referring to regarding linustech, but you are correct that they make bad cables.

I bought monoprice hdmi cables in the past when they made it to front page. I've probably purchased 5 of the regular ones when they were dirt cheap. However, only 2 worked and I threw the other 3 out.

I had those from last deal, 3 of them. So far so good, no complaints... It's just a bit short for me.

the certified cables were good. But the non certified failed.

These cables are NOT certified.

Monoprice expects you to splice the respective working portions of cable together so you'll have a fully functional one with audio & video again.

I don't deny that monoprice cables are poor quality, but all of their cables come with a lifetime warranty fyi. If you email them they'll send you replacements without asking for the broken ones back.

I've been impressed with "Cable Matters" on Amazon.

The media group behind the YouTube channel Linus Tech Tips is starting a certification lab called Linus Labs that has started testing HDMI and USB-C cables en masse to validate marketing claims and provide clear guidelines on the capabilities of every cable because it's gotten to the point that just saying HDMI 2.1 or USB 3 Gen 2 2x2 (lol) doesn't tell the consumer nearly enough information on how the cable can be used.
