Don't bother it is a super old 4 core ryzen 7, and the hyping of ryzen 7 without telling you which version makes it clear this at best a veiled advertisement

Big oof.

3700U… Are 6000 processors about to come out?… That's rhetorical. They are.

The selling point is the Vega 10 graphics though. For someone just wanting some low-end gaming, this would probably fit the bill fine. I think Vega 10 is still a step above Intel 10/11th-gen integrates graphics, right?

Depends on a lot of factors.

"Vega 6/8/10/11" means different things in different gen Zen chips. It's the same logic circuits, but different fab (7nm vs 14, etc.), and thus different clock speeds.

As an example, the Vega6 on a 5600h is 10-20% faster than the Vega8 in a 3500u, despite the 3500u having 33% more GPU cores. This is primarily due to the clock speed differences.

I wish it was clearer what one was getting, rather than marketing b.s. names.

Similarly, "Iris Xe" means different things, too, as there are several versions with differing amounts of compute units, clock frequencies, etc. It's so stupid and deliberately obfuscated.

True. I ended up getting an Acer Swift 5 for $429. 11th-gen i5 with Iris XE. Some video comparisons show it being better for games. Only 256GB storage, but I don't think my nephews will go through that much anyway with the types of games they play. I prefer Acer for drivers and support over a random Chinese company they sold Gateway too also.
