If that's the case then it seems like poor wording. And I think the $130 difference pointed out by OP is in comparison with recent deals for 64GB which I believe were on sale for $300.

If you can catch it on Costco 64gb is 319. But they run out the same day on 64gb. 256 is 449$ at Costco.

Bought one 64gb for 319 last week. It's just $10 more than Apple Edu Discount (which takes weeks to deliver). My local Costco always have them in stock.

Ordered one yesterday from Costco and comes with 2 yr manufacturer warranty. Both deals are good but sticking with Costco one.

I've been looking for iPad replacement for wife for her aging original Air LTE model I got her. I just can't justify a tablet for over $500 but I've read ppl say the latest Air w/ M1 chip will last a few years more than regular models. I don't follow AAPL products much despite finally moved over to iPhone after 12 years of Android due to car only having Carplay, I'm still not an AAPL fan and can't justify spending over $500 for a tablet.
Will look out for those refurb deals for Air or are there other larger screen models that's a good value to last about 4yrs out of it for a light user?

not a good deal IMO. 128gb iPad air was 499 a few weeks ago, last gen iPad pro was 599. Unless you absolutely need the 256gb. Those two iPad are superior to this one in almost every way.

Valid perspective, but.. i don't think a 128gb iPad air exists for the latest gen.

For folks who just need a "throw around ipad" w/ good storage i think this is a decent deal. Smilie (perfect for my parents)
