With that said, they make the 6xx sound exciting and that's hard to do. These are extremely neutral. They're a bit harsh on the top end for me but they're still great. I used them as my main set until I got Focal Clears. Now I use them with my PS5.
Edit: As for open vs closed back, open back is better for gaming. Much wider soundstage, less overpowering bass usually. Better for footsteps, vocals, etc. However sound leakage is a consideration. It's not enough to transmit through a mic(I've tested dynamic and condenser) but it is noticeable to others in a room with you.
Also the replacement cable, should you ever need one, is $10 on amazon. That isn't expensive, and the stock ones are durable as hell from my experience.

I personally swap between the 6XX, the argons, and then meze classics for portable use. And I find this is a nice mix of mid tier headphones for someone that doesn't want the same sound all the time and doesn't care for the intensity of treble monsters like the beyers and others of the same ilk.
So if you are looking for using these headphones for gaming they will be superior.
Build quality is inferior to both the 58x/6xx as it is an all plastic build with one cable output rather than the dual cables in the 58x/6xx.
Clamp force is just as strong as the 58x/6xx with varying opinions on if they are more / less comfortable. The way the 560s clamp is different than the 58x so that's why some like them more comfort wise and others prefer the aforementioned Drop pairs.
The ear pads are a bit more shallow on the 560s than the 58x/6xx so if you have big ears they could slightly touch the drivers inside the cup itself.
Id do some more research on google/reddit there are tons of threads comparing them.
If you have a pair of HD58x/6XX i dont know if these would be an upgrade or more of a sidegrade especially since the resale value for the 58x/6XX is so piss poor its basically worth just keeping them as a back up pair then taking a huge loss.

The imaging is very good for gaming, very accurate directionally. Making it easy to pinpoint enemies on sound in relation to yourself. Soundstage is W I D E, great immersion.
If you know what the Fidelio X2s sound like, these are similar. Just a little less bass and some more clarity in the treble.
