Good deal... Returning my tplink ones from Costco and trying the eero 6 with one extender. Tplink was very intermittent for my Google home devices.
Same here. TP-Link setup was great when it worked but a few of my google devices went offline daily (Nest Audio) and my iPad pro was having weird connection issues (may be unrelated).
1 Router + 2 Add-Ons Dual-band Wi-Fi 6 supports speeds up to 500 Mbps...while other options say it's 900 Mbps? Typo?
I did a little research and it appears that when you're using the main router, you get up to 900Mbps on wireless, when using the extenders connected wirelessly over mesh, it reduces their speed due to the backhaul, making their effective internet speed closer to 500Mbps. I think this can be remedied by hard wiring the extenders or additional routers.
I'm about to throw my Orbi Rk50) mesh in the garbage, not for the internet performance but for the lack of child control (Disney 1st Gen Circle is garbage) and not being able to see the data usage per each device (we live in a Xfinity 1.2TB household, hit this a couple times during lock-down).
Is Eero better in this regard on these 2 points? Id not Eero, any other mesh router?

I just did the same, I got the Asus zenwifi xt8. Much better option than my rbk50. It has the filters but it does not have the total data per device, at least that I have not figured out yet. It has the live data being used.

I have eero pro wifi 6 and I think it's the best wireless system I ever had
Google wifi 5 system was good as well, but every so often I would have to reset the system , I always assume bad update caused a glitch
But eero pro 6 has been solid, it really is too bad they are just so expensive which is why most people would try a TPLink over it. On top of being expensive they also have security subscription which to me is just extra gouging
But if you can afford it I give eero a big thumbs up for dependability / speed / throughput
Also I'll never go back to single router again, mesh is the way to go

Yeah, I got the AX3600s from Costco and they have trouble connecting to my eufy cameras from time to time. I just bought the Netgear Nighthawks from Costco recently but haven't tried them out yet and now I'm wondering if this Eero setup would be more reliable.

I won't crap on Asus - I used TMO Asus for years, until I had to mail it back to them
their mesh seems super nice as well, I don't have experience, I think their ultra high price turned me off ( it was in the $800 when I was looking, price seems more in line with others now)

looks amazing -- included Lifetime Internet Security, something eero lacks for sure
