Trade-In Info
Overview: If Samsung is processing trade-ins like prior deals, you will receive instructions by email--along with a prepaid shipping label--around the time your new phone arrives. You can also print the label from your online Samsung account.
You will send in the phone only (no boxes, chargers, SIMs, cases, etc.). Exception: If you are trading a Note series, the S Pen must be included. Phone must be factory reset and have no passwords or locks. Good practice: Make a VIDEO and take photos of the phone, including showing some functions, to prove the condition if Samsung challenges you after inspecting the phone. More details....

My phone has scratches [or burn in or faulty Bluetooth or fill in the blank]. Will Samsung accept the phone? Will the trade in amount be reduced? According to the FAQ, "Your device must have no breaks, cracks, or other defects that go beyond normal wear and tear." Is your issue normal wear and tear?
When/how will I get instructions for trading in my phone? Samsung will send you an email with the subject "Welcome to the Samsung Trade-In Program." The email will arrive anywhere from the day the phone ships to a few days after the phone arrives. It includes a link to download a pre-paid shipping label. You have 15 days from receipt of the email to ship the trade in. You can also get the shipping label for the trade in from your online Samsung account under order details.
Two commonly asked questions about financed and leased phones:
1. The device I'm trading in is one that I bought using an equal payment or other financing plan, and I still have payments left on it. Can I still trade it in?
Yes – however, please note that all remaining payments on the device you're trading in are your responsibility. You may also be subject to additional fees. Check with your current carrier for details.
2. lease my device. Can I trade it in?
No – leased devices are not eligible for this Trade-In Promotion unless you purchase the leased device from your carrier before trading it in. Check with your carrier for details.

Me: And second, is there any update to when the Tab S8 Ultra will ship?
Samsung Rep: I can see that we missed the opportunity to ship and deliver the tab on time.
Samsung Rep: I will escalate this issue to the concerned teams on a high priority and provide the exact shipping date via email within 2 business days.
Me: Thank you again for your help!
Samsung Rep: You are welcome and I am interested in offering a promo code worth $25 for the delay in shipping the tab.
Samsung Rep: Please accept this small amount as a gesture of goodwill from our end.
Me: Ah, I see how it is. Offer a promo to get me to buy more Samsung stuff! Just kidding.
The regular orders which are not available with preorder credits are getting a higher trade-in value for there own device as some kind of additional discount for missing the preorder benefits.
I really wish we had the option to price match the higher trade-in value for the order that is already got the preorder promotional benefits.

Right now as per the confirmation from the team we are not price matching the trade-in amount. If there was an option to do so, I would have surely done that for you.

Also, we see that you have already provided multiple promotions on the order.
Got this response:
"We do understand that there is enhanced trade-in discount offered with purchase of S22 series.
However, we can't price match with the pre order, because, during pre order, you had the pre order credit, free memory upgrade"
Galaxy S21 trade in went from $450 to $600
Thanks OP
My only complaint on the S21 is my battery seems to be dying more quickly lately after one year of use, so a new phone is appealing. However, the S22 has a 3700mAh battery vs 4000 mAh of the S21, so long term it may not be good.
The only place I need more performance is using the GoPro app. It works, but gets slow, sometimes, so a faster processor would sure be nice.
The question is if I wait til next year to upgrade to the S23, how much would I get as trade-in? An S20 now gives $425, so I guess I'll wait.
