This product is for long term food storage and has a 10 year shelf life, which is many times longer than boxed/bagged mix like Bisquick. It comes sealed in a big can with oxygen absorbers inside to help preserve it from oxidation.

Do yourself a favor and buy big boxes of Bisquick instead. Only benefit it comes in a can. And when you open the can. It's only a bit over half full. What I do is get the Bisquick. Put in large mason jars with oxygen absorbers. Then vacuum pack with food saver attachment. I fully understand not everyone has my setup. Been doing this for decades. But I guess it's ok if you want the "10 year" and it being in a can aspect of it. $7.32 isn't going to break the bank for just one can. The pancakes have a little after taste to them kind of like vanilla protein powder. I don't know you get what I mean. It's just a slight after taste.

Do you mean like old school Shaklee vanilla protein mix? From the early 70s.

Lol. Yep kind of like that. Spot on. Can't believe you said Shaklee. When I was a young pup, mother use to sell and gave us that crap. But that's the slight after taste.
