FYI, you can build something with very similar functionality using an old phone or tablet and the Touch Portal app.

It is the older version of the 15 button Stream Deck. The biggest difference is the physical case design. I prefer this version as it is easy to mount in a panel.

Yes, you can. I use both. The advantage of the Stream Deck is a physical keyboard. Whereas Touch Portal is a virtual keyboard. Both have their advantages and disadvantages.

Awesome going to give this a try. I tried using the hot keys bound to my number pad and realized they transition my screens even if I'm using my number pad on a different application such as calculator or web. I use my number pad often so this became a burden.

Used like new on amazon warehouse too for $109. I went with that one as I've had good luck with warehouse.

Price was $99 for cyber Monday, went up to $150 and has been dropping $10 a month.

So I would wait until this gets back lower since there is a newer product already.

It has been $128 for 2 weeks now. FWIW

There is no comparison to a flat plate tablet or phone. It would be like using a gorilla glass lcd screen for a typing keyboard, numpad, or piano/synth keyboard. Sure you can do it and it might be an ok way to get your feet wet but it's not the same at all tactile wise.

Incidentally elgato does offer it's own software version for tablets and I think it is free if I'm not mistaken.

Got upset seeing this deal as I just bought this 9 days ago on Amazon. Then I noticed I actually bought this for 7 cents cheaper. The stream deck is absolutely amazing for productivity. I don't stream at all
