If I didn't have a 6800xt taichi, 6900xt Toxic Extreme and a 6600xt Strix I would jump all over the 6700xt XFX Black version for $30 more
Pros going with 6000 Radeon cards:
it support SAM (need compatible hardware)
great at overclocking
better image quality
power efficient
more raw performance
it comes with more Vram ddr6
it also supports gimmicks like: raytracing, FSR and SRS

It's a gimmick when your preferred manufacturer sucks at it. Well said.

If the features and performance was flipped between the companies, pretty sure the fanboys will also call resolution upscaling a gimmick compared to higher performance rasterization.

Amd and Nvidia both make good cards. Just buy what's in your budget, does what you need it to do and has features you think you need. Both companies don't care about you.

Don't buy a card the partner company made with crappy standards. Look for what games you play and how well each card does at them. Don't be team red or green be team you.

Appreciate this, absolutely crazy to see brand loyalty for absolutely no reason. This competes directly with a 3070 from MY testing for "currently" cheaper.

If you have a dog that poops out graphics cards, then we need to discuss finding a good home for the pup... because you don't appreciate it nearly enough.

Have a 6800xt and love it people keep saying amd is dog poo. In reality that's not true. Nvidia has filters I'll give you that and a better 4k technology. But when it comes to performance and price u can't go wrong if you are able to get cards for MSRP. I would not pay $1000 for 3080 if I have option to buy 6800xt for 650. But for difference of 50 bucks if u can get 3080FI I would buy it over 6800xt. But good luck finding them.

Do you mean if the performance and features were flipped, amd fanboys would continue to call it a gimmick? Otherwise you're literally just saying what I said. Fanboys will value what their company does well and discount what it sucks at. If you flip it does not change what I said. It's a gimmick when your preferred manufacturer sucks at it.

Whilst the drought in the GPU market continues, street prices for AMD cards are around 50% lower than comparable (based on headline average fps figures) Nvidia cards. Many experienced users simply have no interest in buying AMD cards, regardless of price. AMD's neanderthal marketing tactics seem to have come back to haunt them. Their brazen domination of social media platforms including youtube and reddit resulted in millions of users purchasing sub standard products. Experienced gamers know all too well that headline average fps are worthless when they are accompanied with stutters, random crashes, excessive noise and a limited feature set

General question on graphics cards and their pricing.

This card was on sale for $599 and apparently normally $699. I see 6700's on Bestbuy for $850 and $950
However I see on wikipedia that the MSRP for the 6700 cards is $479.
is there any real useful reason that you'd normally pay more than the MSRP for a video card? Other than brand of the card maker, do some of the cards have legit functional features that warrant higher prices?
Or are the higher prices all just because of vendors jacking up prices because they can?
