in the monitor menu, set Response Time to no higher than level 2. I had the same issue and it went away completely at level 2 and was present, but reduced in level 3. level 4 was almost unusable.
More accurate to say "someone mentioned an online review which mentioned the 'Eye Ease' blue light filtering coating". Nobody that bought it was unhappy with it. $180 for this thing was an absolute steal. I ordered 2 more at $250 each after using the first one to fill out my triple monitor setup, and don't even regret that price. At $235 it's still the cheapest high refresh rate 1440p monitor on Amazon. It's also got a height / tilt adjustable stand, vesa mount capable, etc.
This was $180 last sale, I couldn't not buy it at the time and it is a nice monitor. Compliments my lg gl83a no problem. If I could have gone back in time, I would get 2x HP x27q for the price I paid for the one LG and be very very happy.

I am also pretty sure the panels are the same on LG and HP which sealed the deal. What coating issues?

Search for the last deal for more info. I had mild interest but read that there was a unique screen coating that turned some folks off.

Got this on the previous deal. No complaints, happy with my purchase!

As far as the coating goes - I can't tell the difference between this and other IPS matte monitors I own so I wouldn't worry about it.

Link to previous deal with further discussion - everyone who commented after receiving it seems pretty happy with it: https://slickdeals.net/f/15647437-hp-27-inch-qhd-gaming-monitor-x27q-amazon-treasure-truck-179-99

I got it on the Treasure Truck deal and I gotta say, when I first plugged it in, the first thing I noticed was that it's really bright compared to my old Dell U2414h... and a lot fancier. Colors are so vibrant.

The only issue is I get this weird ghosting/rainbow effect when I move windows/folders around. I'm assuming it's some settings issue because games look gorgeous and everything looks so different than my Dells and I'm in over my head, gotta fiddle with the settings.

I just wish there was some kind of auto-brightness feature (maybe there is?). I fired it up a few nights ago when I couldn't sleep and the brightness (which I already lowered quite a bit) almost blinded me.

I also wish it had a DP out so I could daisy chain with a second monitor/use my current DP switch to swap between my gaming laptop and work laptop. Gotta find some other solution I guess... KVM switches are expensive/lotta wires.

Can someone tell me if there's a better 27" 1440p IPS monitor for gaming available right now in the $250ish price range? I was looking at the Pixio PX277 but all these monitors confuse me lol.

Is this monitor much better than the Dell?https://slickdeals.net/share/iphone_app/fp/704023. I would like to connect an Xbox One X and a Gaming computer. I would appreciate some insight.

Bought it at the last sale and am very impressed. So tempted to actually buy one more to replace an Acer HD monitor I have. This HP one has great colors and is very nice. You cannot go wrong.

My cousin got a gpu bundle and sold this to me cheap but at this price i think it's worth it still. I'm not too picky with monitors though but it was on par if not better than the 32 aoc 1440p144 i had before.
