Let me get this straight. It's less than 4" from the floor to the top, and 2" of that is the depth of the bowl. So it's really just lifting the bowl 1.36" off the ground? That seems very little

I bought this last year - previous SD deal. My deaf cat would pull the bowl from the base when it's empty - to alert me. If I don't refill fast enough, he knocks it to the floor. He trained me well.

Bought last time - returned them. They're only like 1 inch off the ground if you want to even say that. Plus the bowl was tiny. Would definitely never pay full price for this.

DO NOT USE ELEVATED FOOD AND WATER BOWLS! Please, take it from a veterinarian - do not elevate your pet's food/water bowls. Elevated bowls are one of several risk factors for causing GDV, an incredibly serious and far too frequently deadly condition.
