or just wait for costco and their 1-1/4 hp disposal and the 3 screws mounting design (way superior than locking collar design)

I actually just bought the waste king 1/2 hp disposal today from Amazon for only $10 less. Cancelling and ordering this instead.

Plus if you already have the locking collar, it's easy to replace with the same system.

I had the waste king l8000 wasn't a fan at all, mounting system sucks, rubber baffle distorted 4 times and it's odd sized baffle smaller than the standard so hard to find, and it's not balanced very well, replaced it with the Costco 1.25hp and so glad I did it quiet and smooth

Agreed. Wanted to mount this unit in both my sinks but it was too big for one of them. Ended up getting a smaller Waste King for that one.

Which one are you talking about? Mine needs to be turned with an alan wrench every time I use it whether there's anything in it or not and I'm seeking a replacement. My current one is a 1/2 HP whirlpool gc2000 and it's installed with 3 screws instead of the collet. Costco has a few 1.25 HP, some aren't much more than this. I'm curious which is preferred from your point of view.
