Just an FYI if you're just getting this for the "free" tablet. The tablet is a Galaxy A7 lite which only costs $200 ($129 on Amazon)

They will still lock you to a 2 year EIP even if it's free (They'll make a monthly credit to cover the tablet EIP)

Meaning you'd end up paying $10 for 2 years ($240) for a $129 tablet.

So if you're only doing it for the tablet then it's not worth it
Some people don't live in a house.
Not on the "free" tablet, lol. In all seriousness, don't choose the plan with TE in the title as that one is tax exclusive (you have 2 choices)

soc code ZB10HSTI is the one you want.

Anyone can try it?
I have data sims for several chromebooks that have SIM slots on a postpaid plan...when I transfer a SIM to a hotspot (free Franklin promo) the data works, but slow..I was told on reddit that these tablet data sims are limited to about 512k when the device detected is not a tablet/laptop, and would eventually get zapped. ymmv.

You can sign up at https://www.t-mobile.com/business, select the devices tab, select the Samsung Galaxy Tab A7(https://www.t-mobile.com/business/tablet/samsung-galaxy-tab-a7-lite?sku=610214669933), add to cart, and then it will prompt you to check out as guest or start a new business account, once you're done doing that it will give you the list of data plans available for the tablet. The tax included plan is called Magenta Business Tablet 10GB Promo

I have tried using one of those free line sims in my iPad but for some reason the data plan is ridiculously slow (feel like it's 3G speed not even LTE). I don't know if it's the iPad or just the fact that you aren't supposed to use the SIM in a tablet. The sim works perfectly fine when I put it into my Pixel 4A 5G giving me 5G speeds. For reference my iPad is a iPad Pro 12.9 3rd gen (2018, ATT version) so it isn't compatible with 5g only LTE.

Anyone else had similar experiences

I recall someone mentioning they can call into tmo and ask them to turn off the voice making it into a 5g speed data sim, not using the hotspot data allocation.

Not sure how to so it though.

"Up to 10GB of 5G/4G LTE mobile hotspot data, then at max 3G speeds after."

For anyone that would use more Than 10gb per month, beware. Still a good offer though.

Thx saved me the lookup. Same cap as the phone plan. Won't need it.

What is their motivation to offer these cheap plans to businesses and not consumers? I would think you offer the consumers the cheap plans and jack up the business plans.
They know that business users use less data than consumers. Business users won't be streaming youtube or netflix for 8 hours a day.

Also, they know that it'll get lost in the mix of all the business expenses and long after the tablet has broken and been trashed (or "recycled" into the great island of plastic in the pacific), accounting will still be paying them $10/month for essentially nothing.

Can I bring my own Ipad with cellular connectivity and get this offer? Or do I have to buy a tablet from T-Moble to get this offer?
this offer is just for the line itself, the free tablet is another promo that stacks but you can use this line with any tablet that has cellular capabilities

Yep, only way I could get it to show online was via adding the tablet, and I'd rather end up with a freeish/cheapish tablet to flip vs going in and dealing with some dolt at a corp store that doesn't know or doesn't want to give me the $10 TI plan.

Signed up Sunday, shipped SIM and tablet yesterday, but UPS still hasn't picked them up. So much for getting here by Thursday. They ship everything UPS 3 Day.

That's correct. Speeds will be highly throttled and eventually they'll cancel the plan altogether. There are some ways around it, but you'll have to search for those yourself, and it's not the easiest with Tmo because they also use TTL.

It's the convenience. Example, People who own small business who travel often, kids in cars, planes (airports) etc can watch a movie or play games which require internet.

To each their own but many of the baby boomers gen prefer tablets over the small cellphone screens.

Today I found out in 37 and considered a baby boomer for using my iPad over my phone lol

It isn't the tablet. I have a free voice line sim in an iPad pro, and i get closer to 256kb or so. I think it's because the iPad or most all other tablets etc. out there don't have a native voice dialer, the system is able to pick up that the device is not a phone (even if the tablet IMEI isn't in their known database). . .TBH I don't know why it works at all as they know it's actually a tablet, and tablets are supposed to run on data only sims.

It's painfully slow. That's why I either do a $10 proper plan like this deal, or do what I've been doing recently, is to put that free line sim in an extra phone and do hotspot
