They will still lock you to a 2 year EIP even if it's free (They'll make a monthly credit to cover the tablet EIP)
Meaning you'd end up paying $10 for 2 years ($240) for a $129 tablet.
So if you're only doing it for the tablet then it's not worth it

I activated 2 SIM cards online and started a new Business Account .. using both SIM cards in my own previously owned devices...
1) Samsung Tab Active 2
2) HP Elite x2 Laptop / Tablet.
Tmobile did not ask me about either device and SIMs work in Both .. I even took the sim out of the HP and installed into my Panasonic Toughbook 53 and its been working there as well.

I called 844-923-3654 spoke with a Business Account Cust Service Rep .. who set my entire Business Account Up for the 2 SIMs. I got more interrogation about my actual Business then anything else.
They Asked for my EIN# , Business Address . Business Phone # (They actually made a return verification phone call to me on my business line to verify the number was legit) , They ran a Business Credit Check on my Company.
After they verified my business everything else was fast and easy.. the rep Overnighted the 2 SIMs via UPS they were at my house by 2 pm the following day. I plugged the SIMs into my devices, it took a few minutes to connect to network and sync up and I was running with Internet on my devices Tmobile knew nothing about..

Plugged the TMOHS1 into my Gl.inet Mango, and it's unthrottled. Popped the SIM into my A7 Lite tablet, and it's unthrottled.
So basically, tethered to a Mango router you'll get unlimited. Same in the tablet itself. Not so much in the TMOHS1 natively.

You can tether from TMOHS1 to any router that supports USB tethering such as ASUS routers
Also, this sim card will work on other mobile hotspots too as long as you know how to change the settings

You can try to get like TMOHS1, it is new hotspot, T-Mobile sends for Test Drive. Google "t-mobile test drive" and order the free 30 day free trial. Test Drive hotspot is yours to keep and like no payment needed from you, not even credit card, etc. Just home address.
People said like T-Mobile thinks TMOHS1 is a phone, cause in their database it is added under phone, so it allows it, but in Nighthawk it knows it is hotstpot.
I guess one can do like IMEI Repair/IMEI Change on Nighthawk to like match a Tablet but it is kinda grey area. Like T-Mobile will think it is Tablet and might give you full speed, I didn't try it out cause I still feel weird about changing IMEI, people say it is illegal in other countries but currently it is not illegal in USA. 'Murica, Freedom.
I have ATT $20 tablet plan too and it way too good, never gonna let it go lol.
Thank you for the good info! Yup, I am keeping the ATT as well, but still thinking about grabbing this. Is the TMOHS1 only good for 30 days? Then what? Hook it up to the Mango and it will go past the 30 days? Can I just get the $10 sim and call to get the HD/4K upgrade? Will the sim work in any tablet or phone? As mentioned, looking to tether, stream without getting throttled. $!0 seems to good to pass up especially if legacy applies...
