Just an FYI if you're just getting this for the "free" tablet. The tablet is a Galaxy A7 lite which only costs $200 ($129 on Amazon)

They will still lock you to a 2 year EIP even if it's free (They'll make a monthly credit to cover the tablet EIP)

Meaning you'd end up paying $10 for 2 years ($240) for a $129 tablet.

So if you're only doing it for the tablet then it's not worth it
Some people don't live in a house.
Not on the "free" tablet, lol. In all seriousness, don't choose the plan with TE in the title as that one is tax exclusive (you have 2 choices)

soc code ZB10HSTI is the one you want.

My goodness, this has been quite the ordeal to get up and running. Countless phone calls and at least three store visits to get my (legit) business account created and activated via my Tax ID number (to keep it separate from my personal T-Mobile account), and then countless more phone calls to get HDVPASS0 added. Many, many reps first told me that my TI plan wasn't compatible with the HD Pass feature. Then I got a rep who swore he added it, but it still didn't work, according to the fast.com speed tests.

Finally, I got a knowledgeable rep who instantly activated the HD Pass correctly. When I asked what he did differently, he said most reps don't know how to add it to the line correctly, so he undid what the prior rep did and added it correctly in a different way. So, finally, I'm all set. Woo hoo.

What do they really need at the store to verify your id/business? I have set up the line, received and returned the tablet, and *now* they ask for in-store business verification.

I have an actual business and set this up with an EIN.

TMOHS1 USB tethering to a Netgear R7000 router running FreshTomato.
Does R7000 come with FreshTomato or you have to hack it? Any good tutorials you found successful?

Also - nothing with T9?

Have not tested this exact plan, but it says you get 5GB of 5G/high speed

You'll have to flash FreshTomato onto the compatible router you choose. I just searched "R7000 FreshTomato flashing" and followed a link/video but don't remember which now.

I don't have a T9, only TMOHS1.

Thanks for sharing the info! Glad it worked as we talked about this topic two weeks ago. Which band to use depends really on the tower near you. It is always good to check before changing.

I just gave the SOC code seen in the wiki and the lady said she was going to input it… I was on hold for a couple minutes while she did what she needed to do. She said everything's good on her end. My speeds doubled afterwards on that fast.com test website.

I still need to verify if it shows up on my online account or somewhere in the settings.

Oof, OMG i have been spreading so much misinformation man, people will read my old posts and get so confused.

Native Hotspot from tablet is full speed right? I am gonna keep it for Hurricane emergency. I am from New Orleans and last year we had no power for like 10 days, most cell towers were town too cause towers also have no power, i think T-Mobile was running their towers with like generators. Still somehow booked hotel in Alabama with my moms T-Mobile phone and went there. I was using my ATT tablet sim in hotspot, it was very helpful.
I would like to make a correction. I have just discovered that the new TMOHS1 hotspot is also hackable:

https://github.com/parker-stephen...ot-Utility

https://parkercs.tech/tmohs1/

I have not tested this method because I do not have the TMOHS1 hotspot. I see one advantage of this hacking is that it can mask "all outgoing data as "on-device" rather than hotspot data"
