Just an FYI if you're just getting this for the "free" tablet. The tablet is a Galaxy A7 lite which only costs $200 ($129 on Amazon)

They will still lock you to a 2 year EIP even if it's free (They'll make a monthly credit to cover the tablet EIP)

Meaning you'd end up paying $10 for 2 years ($240) for a $129 tablet.

So if you're only doing it for the tablet then it's not worth it

Not on the "free" tablet, lol. In all seriousness, don't choose the plan with TE in the title as that one is tax exclusive (you have 2 choices)

soc code ZB10HSTI is the one you want.

Do you need to flash anything or set anything on the sft to make his work? Or literally just plug the phone into the router and you're good to go, plug and play?

A. Some people got perks. Credits. What they asked for etc..
B. Some people got surprised as T-mobile did what they wanted to do.

Well, which is it?

The T-mobile rep I got sound like the poor service from Red Pocket and refused to help with my real sole proprietor business and balked as my having a T-Mobile test hot spot (very cool test of T-Mobile), of course saying prices start at $60 minimum since that my ACCOUNT NOW!

This is all BS.
Unclear way(s) to get this deal(s). I don't want the tablet if it has to be refunded credits and depending on my continued months.
Not hot spot restrictions (it's your data) have given way to a trick. Were suppose to work at hacking around the limit. BS. They are just going to say you are a bad actor in the end. Sooner or later. One way or another. This is why I went on, about their multiple throttling ways apart from having "Priority", another trick.
And even 3G (less bad than 2G) overage "unlimited", they DO NOT do unlimited as, "it's not for that", and anyway 3G is still to unbearably slow(for your cash).

They are to 2 D proud of their spying and traffic shaping.

Credit for T-Mobile being perhaps least bad. But does it sound like they really want to sell this plan? What do you think they are going to do about that? How is it worth it?

OVERALL: They are going to freaken' get you. Can't you tell? So much BS.

Is that just in the standard UI, or in the WRT UI? Also, what did you set it to? Is that just for T-Mo, or the same for other carriers too?

Thanks for the help.

Yeah I know; but really? Did you personally stream 4k with 5G till 50GB was out? Not going to happen... ongoing.

Have you tried USB tether to a PC via USB?
Tested this last week but only able to post an update now.

I decided to USB Tether the TMOHS1 to Windows again using another laptop and the native Windows RNDIS driver recognises it. In fact, my wife has been using it with her work laptop since Sunday.

On Mac, you have to download HoRNDIS, install it and just connect the TMOHS1. It will show up as "Android" under the Network Settings page.

I noticed that on my T-Mobile account it's showing what phone I'm using down to the color (Pixel 6/128GB/Sorta Seafoam). If I call business support to get my plan changed to tax inclusive and get the free HD pass added would they noticed that I'm using a phone on a tablet plan and kick me off?

I would say no, based on my experience. I had iPhone 7 Plus on my line when I changed to TI.

I've had mine in a phone since I received the Sim. I asked on one of the (many) calls to them and they said it was fine to use it in a phone.
