Just an FYI if you're just getting this for the "free" tablet. The tablet is a Galaxy A7 lite which only costs $200 ($129 on Amazon)

They will still lock you to a 2 year EIP even if it's free (They'll make a monthly credit to cover the tablet EIP)

Meaning you'd end up paying $10 for 2 years ($240) for a $129 tablet.

So if you're only doing it for the tablet then it's not worth it

Not on the "free" tablet, lol. In all seriousness, don't choose the plan with TE in the title as that one is tax exclusive (you have 2 choices)

soc code ZB10HSTI is the one you want.

Had no problem today switching my 2 TE lines to TI. . .took 5 minutes on FB T-Force, and instantly showed up on account as they backdated it.

Will try the HD pass tomorrow, but sure I won't have a problem getting either.

What I can't seem to do is get them on T-Force to give me a chromebook on this plan. Anybody having any luck with this? Was it T-Force, in store, or through an AE rep??

That "david" referral didn't even get me switched to TI plan.

Ironically TMO business phone sales/and care dept etc., can't even find my tablet orders, even with me giving them the order # they don't see any dates ordered etc., so I can't return the 2nd one yet. They're gonna get back to me with a return label after escalating it. Since I can no longer get the Chromebook GO (nor the just launched 511 deal) on that original 2nd line from last month, I need to start up a 3rd line and try and get the Acer CB 511, and then cancel the 2nd tablet line after tablet return goes through. . .
CB 511 looks epic to me like it says like durable, like can drop it and stuff, like designed for kids. Plus I guess has SIM Slot, cause T-Mobile website says I can use 4G LTE on it?

https://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/con...ok511c741l

https://www.t-mobile.com/tablet/a...mebook-511

Is it compatible with TI plan, like can I get it for free after credits as long as I open and keep a new TI Plan for 2 years?

Yeah, it sucks spec wise vs. what I would use normally. But it does seem to serve a purpose of a road warrior that can survive me and the kids.

That was the question I was asking, how to get the Acer 511 put on TI line? The 3 t-force reps I talked to today said I couldn't use a tablet line for the chromebook promo deal, had to upgrade to $35>>>$30 plan after autopay. They said they were separate plans for chromebooks than tablets. But oddly then they offered for me to keep the $10 tablet line and just pay for the Chromebook in full (which they said would save $5 a month vs. getting the free chromebook and $30 plan). . .lol so I know something is rotten with their "bs logic", and thus probably a way around it. . .

And was wondering how the early people got the $10 TI and Chromebook attached together, and after a month or so if the CB bill credits still persist?

Ok..... So as promised, I am back with some news to share on the custom FW for the m2000. Last week Rich and I had some setbacks as my m2000 lost access to the mifi's admin page and would loose 5g connectivity after 10 min. We tried alot of fixes, but decided to carrier unlock and flash the VZ firmware so I could atleast test functionality over the weekend. That worked.... Had solid 5g and admin access.... Unfortunately my speeds were maxed @ 100mbps or so with super high jitter rates. Signal seemed very touchy and jumped around quite a bit. It worked, but nothing compared to what I pulled when we were on the tmobile FW as well as what I see on my other m2000 on an "official" hotspot plan w/ tmobile. Tuesday we connected and decided to re-flash the tmobile FW and see how things went from there..... It took just fine....Immediately had access to the admin page, but best of all my jitter dropped to sub 5ms and speed was over 650mbps. I have been testing the past few days and it has been rock solid.... Consistent signal locks, super low latency and jitter with searing speed. Due to the custom FW, patched kernel and cloned iemi, all data is reporting as on device data and has masked the hotspot useage. Very pleased with the results thus far..... Prior to moving my sim I did have the HD Pass SOC added to my line.... When testing the m2000 on fast.com I am pulling around 11mbps vs 110 on my "official" tmobile m2000 hotspot. However, if I do run my vpn I can achieve the higher figures as I am getting on my other m2000. If anyone is interested in having Rixh flash Thierry m2000 please feel free to PM mee and I can get his contact info. over to you...... The process is done remotely and takes about 15 min.

Anyone with TE plan, do your bill receive an autopay discount(-$5)? I didn't see TE plan can not apply autopay discount which TI plan said in plan detail. And when I switch to TI from TE the CS told me I will be lost autopay discount (means they can see there is $5 off on my TE plan?)
No, as stated on the initial plan selector page... NEITHER of these plans allow for the $5 autopay discount, and I'm surprised people are still asking about this. It even says this at the beginning of this very SD thread.

I had an unused SIM and called 611, spoke with someone and basically said "I'd like to set another line up like (XXX) XXX-XXXX, can you activate a SIM and put it on the same plan? After reading off the ICCID, it took about 5 minutes and I was up and running.

Thanks for the info, too bad I don't have any sim on hand now. Repped.

I have the same story as ES53 - I had an unused SIM punch card laying around - 2 of them, actually - so, I called T-Mobile and had them set up a second line with one of them. It took longer than 5 minutes in my case - I would say 15 minutes all told, but they set my second line up without issue. As far as I know they didn't charge me for the setup; however, when I set up my first line in store, they did charge me $30 activation. T-Mobile provided me the SIM card for my first tablet line, and didn't charge me for it.

Thank you for the info, repped too!

I inserted my sim to an android phone, installed tmobile app,
Logged in my account, then used chat within the app,
The agent was able to help me adding the 2nd line with free A7 lite smoothly.
Total paid $96 with sim/activation fee , but the sim fee will be credited when I received the tablet & sim.
So through the app's chat would be another easy way to add the line too, in case anyone else decides to add more lines with free tablet promotion.

Finally got one order in place after chatting with a rep. Back ordered until end of May. Free tablet with $10 TI.
When I try to order online, it was showing autopay discount, but I couldn't checkout and asking to go to the store. The rep told the $10+free tablet offer can't take another promo code Frown

Are you looking for the custom FW, kernel patch and custom iemi as well as an unlock or just the ability to use your tmobile sim in the m2000?
