Just an FYI if you're just getting this for the "free" tablet. The tablet is a Galaxy A7 lite which only costs $200 ($129 on Amazon)

They will still lock you to a 2 year EIP even if it's free (They'll make a monthly credit to cover the tablet EIP)

Meaning you'd end up paying $10 for 2 years ($240) for a $129 tablet.

So if you're only doing it for the tablet then it's not worth it

I've tested the sim in the 4G gateway and an Arcadyan KVD21. 4G gateway is showing on device data while the KVD21 was using hotspot data. I hooked the KVD21 to a router and mangled ttl/hl and was getting 400-500 mbps on device data. The 4G gateway I was getting 75-125mpbs. Considering people are rooting TMOHS1's just to mod the ttl to mask hotspot data it's a good option if you want to plug and play for $50.
EDIT: Just went back to the tower with my TMOHS1 and was getting 20-50mbps and same results as before from the gateways. So I'm definitely seeing the benefit of the Cat12 vs the Cat4 TMOHS1.

I'm assuming you mangled ttl/hl ​ on the router and not directly on the KVD21, correct? Which router?

Also, not sure if anyone knows a way to modify IMEI & TTL on the KVD21 directly.

Already on T-mo biz plan with voice lines. can I add this tablet line with Taxes included?
the thread is already 165 pages long, can some provide which hotspot to procure and use as 5G hotspot without counting hotspot data. easy hack /process details.
will voice work on this plan when used as ESIM only.

No way to apply magic directly to the KVD21. It's whitelisted for use on the plan somehow yet the M2000 is blocked. I used a Glinet Convexa with ttl/hl rules set in the firewall settings connected via Ethernet to the KVD21.

Only options for 5g hotspot currently are Netgear M5 &M6 ($$$) or to get a m2100 or m2000. M2100 is an unlocked Verizon hotspot. M2000 is locked and a guy named Richard is the only one who can mod it with magic for a $150 service fee. Tmo just announced a new 5g hotspot that they are releasing next week. It's $200 or $100 with a $20 5gb plan. I'm going to try and see if I can save $80 by getting it with the plan then canceling. I'll report back next week. In regards to voice on esim: I think the few people that have reported it working were lucky and early adopters to this promo. An option would be to use data in conjunction with google voice.

Thank you for testing, I'm looking forward to see if we can use the Quanta 5G device with this sim, that would be ideal.

You can get the taxes included tablet plan if your voice lines are also taxes included. It has to match up like-to-like. (There's also a tax-excluded version of this tablet plan for those paying taxes on their biz plans.)

$50 for a cat12 modem I think is a great option, even if you can go much faster for more $. I'm looking in my T-Mobile account. I actually came back to that listing and they are using the tmo branded Asus to mangle the ttl/hl. From my testing the need for the asus in the mix is unnecessary. It's definitely a glitch in the matrix that this thing natively consumes device data vs hs.
