They will still lock you to a 2 year EIP even if it's free (They'll make a monthly credit to cover the tablet EIP)
Meaning you'd end up paying $10 for 2 years ($240) for a $129 tablet.
So if you're only doing it for the tablet then it's not worth it
soc code ZB10HSTI is the one you want.

For those that want an easy solution for cheap, just get a cudy router, update to latest firmware, and you'll have the option to change ttl right there as a setting. I confirmed and it's working without using the tethering data.
Easiest hack I've ever done.
Enjoy everyone while it lasts. Now that the secret is out, they might patch the loophole

Thanks in advanced.

You are correct that after using 10gb of hotspot data that it slows you down.
What speeds are you getting with the 450 and 500?
For reference, my 5G phone gets 280 Mbps down and 24 Mbps upload sitting right next to the router in a window.

2. Log into device (192.168.10. 1 or something like that. It's on the router)
3. Go to TTL options and just choose 64 and save.
That's it
How much did you get it for?

As for a guide, I haven't looked for one but that doesn't mean there isn't one out there; google search is your best bet. It's all pretty easy though. Log into your router at "cudy.net". To set TTL, go to Advanced Settings > TTL > Custom Settings and set the value to "64" for T-Mobile. This TTL setting is all you need to do to mask router/wifi data as on-device data.
To test out each LTE band and choose the best one, go to General Settings > 4G > choose Band Select at which point you can choose one more more LTE bands. T-Mobile uses bands 2, 4, 12, 66, 71 (i.e. skip bands 5, 13, 14). Choose a band at a time and run a speed test. Then set the router to whatever band is fastest for you.
fwiw, in Advanced Settings, I also turned off IPv6.
