Just an FYI if you're just getting this for the "free" tablet. The tablet is a Galaxy A7 lite which only costs $200 ($129 on Amazon)

They will still lock you to a 2 year EIP even if it's free (They'll make a monthly credit to cover the tablet EIP)

Meaning you'd end up paying $10 for 2 years ($240) for a $129 tablet.

So if you're only doing it for the tablet then it's not worth it

Not on the "free" tablet, lol. In all seriousness, don't choose the plan with TE in the title as that one is tax exclusive (you have 2 choices)

soc code ZB10HSTI is the one you want.

What's the speed you are getting?
It would be the same speed as any of the other devices with low end CAT4 modems without carrier aggregation (like the Franklin T9 or TMOHS1 hotspots). The highest speedtest I've personally seen is ~60 Mbps down and ~28 Mbps for LTE band 66 at my location; you must try out each LTE band and select the best one. Downloads are usually in the 40-50 Mbps range with good cell signal (where my 5G cell phone would be getting 200+ Mbps).

fwiw, on a three of my Cudy routers (LT450 & LT500) they show up as "Unknown Device".

Any speed test? T-Mobile test drive LTE is around 20MB for me, wondering if 5G gives any significant boost in performance. I actually force LTE in my iPhone, which most of the time gives me better speed than 5G (LTE can go up to 200mbs)

I see the $60 price and I'm tempted to get another one. But if there's a way to USB tether the TMOHS1 hotspot, it might do the trick for much cheaper. I personally got a cheaper cudy AC1200 router without the LTE and paired it with a 5G gateway. It's more expensive overall but I get 100-300 download speeds.

I guess it depends on your application, how mobile you need to be, the speed you want and the price you want. So here are the most popular Options:

TMOHS1 or Franklin hotspots: cheapest options, 4G, mobile and requires some tinkering but pretty easy with the instructions posted here, free-$20 cost

Inseego 2100 hotspot : fast 5G speeds, mobile hotspot, no need for messing with it, but pricey at around $150, but could possibly get as low as $100

Cudy LTE router: more of a home router solution, 4G speeds, very easy to just log into router and change a setting, no need for other equipment, currently as low as $60, but could go higher when sale ends or price could keep dropping. Might take a little work to get $60 price though

Cudy AC1200 router (and probably AX router as well) paired with a 4G or 5G modem/gateway : another home solution, more options on the set up, but also a wider price range, could come out cheaper . Similar to the LTE but requires more work since you need to pair it with another device. Price for the AC1200 could be as low as $22 on ebay or as much as $35-40 new on Amazon for AC1200 and faster AX models. The current price for a 5g21 tmobile 5G gateway on eBay is around $70 and the Kvd21 is a little more expensive but not much more performance if any. But you can use any unlocked 4G or 5G modem as well. I have an older netgear 4G modem which works about the same as the TMOHS1. So let's say this option is around $110.
(remember, TTL for 5g21 is 68 on the router, not the usual 64/65)

Tmobile home LTE /Asus router prehacked on ebay: this is an easy home solution, just buy and plug and play, but a little pricey at $130 and limited to 4G speeds:

Did I miss any options?
Hello
I have a locked TMobile Franklin. Can you post the instructions to hack it so it works? I simply put in the sim (without any hacks) but it is not working

Thanks
