Just an FYI if you're just getting this for the "free" tablet. The tablet is a Galaxy A7 lite which only costs $200 ($129 on Amazon)

They will still lock you to a 2 year EIP even if it's free (They'll make a monthly credit to cover the tablet EIP)

Meaning you'd end up paying $10 for 2 years ($240) for a $129 tablet.

So if you're only doing it for the tablet then it's not worth it
Some people don't live in a house.
Not on the "free" tablet, lol. In all seriousness, don't choose the plan with TE in the title as that one is tax exclusive (you have 2 choices)

soc code ZB10HSTI is the one you want.

That's not true. Many of us have been able to do it. Just upgrade stock firmware. Don't need to flash anything. Just make sure it's one of the newer ones, such as this :

Are you sure you can change TTL on the non LTE router?

I can't find if T-Mobile sells router directly on it's own.

MetroPCS website says need to have phone/voice line to get modem. Can't do it online, need to go to store for it.

I bought mine from eBay, 5G21 paid like $75 for it but it was fully new, you can get for much cheaper I think.
Can you set 4G LTE only mode on this modem, in case 5G signal is not good in certain area?

Has anyone tried using the Orbic Speed 5G hotspot with this?
I'm interested but don't want to pay $200-250 for the hotspot.

You get something like a free phone, the gateway and 1 month of service for about $100. Sell the free phone and your total cost is around $50. Look at the other thread for details
do you have the link to the thread?

Point me to the other thread please. I tried looking up and a lot of thread (not necessarily about the gateway reference) came up.

Yes, please to provide link to other threads for more info.
And why this router is important for needed results?
Why just use Cudy router is not enough?

Just an update:

I've had this sim in a Cudy LT450 router for couple of weeks and have logged in 200+ GB "on device" data without any signficant slow downs.

On a tablet or phone with 5G UC it's much faster, but 4g LTE it's good enough for a 2 person household internet (10-50 mbs depending on time of day)

I have the same router as you, youdontknowmeeh.
Did you do any changes to default numbers?
I did not do anything, except changed TTL to custom/65.
Where you have to look for info on what data router uses, native or hotspot?
