Just an FYI if you're just getting this for the "free" tablet. The tablet is a Galaxy A7 lite which only costs $200 ($129 on Amazon)

They will still lock you to a 2 year EIP even if it's free (They'll make a monthly credit to cover the tablet EIP)

Meaning you'd end up paying $10 for 2 years ($240) for a $129 tablet.

So if you're only doing it for the tablet then it's not worth it

Not on the "free" tablet, lol. In all seriousness, don't choose the plan with TE in the title as that one is tax exclusive (you have 2 choices)

soc code ZB10HSTI is the one you want.

I don't have either however since the Orbic 5G has N41/n71 per specs, I expect it to be faster than an M2100 and about the same or slower than a NOK.

Would this work for security cameras that take a SIM card?

Good news, I received the Orbic 5G and did a few tests.

Put in my sim and it fired right up and connected to T-Mobile 5G.

I haven't figured out what band(s) it's using but my speeds are 250down/50up with the device from a laptop connected through the 5ghz WiFi6 (vs 50/10 for the TMOHS1).

I ran through about 4gb of data so far and it is NOT reporting as hotspot data on the T-Mobile website, so it works like the Inseego M2100, plug and play with no need to edit TTL.

Now the bad news, the device shows up in my account as "4G Mobile HotSpot - Orange" so T-Mobile could certainly see this on your account however that's a risk I'm willing to take. (The TMOHS1 shows up in account as "Phone-first Unknown Device").

Also if someone knows how to see what bands it uses, please let me know.

Edit: I tested ethernet connected to a desktop and with no changes, the data is seen as on device, NOT as hotspot, which is amazing.
Dang it. I knew I should have waited. The Inseego M2100 is working flawlessly, but that Ethernet port might have been useful in the future. But on the other hand, I do like flying under the radar though.

Sort of Unlikely that IMEI would be allowed, but possible

It does have Ethernet port or USB tether ?
Yes it does, I confirmed the ethernet port data counts as on device and not as hotspot.

I did not test the usb tethering but it's available.

Do you know what the Inseego shows up as? You may be in the same boat that it recognizes it as something hotspot like.

If anyone cares, my Netgear M6 Pro (MR6400 for Dish5G) got 609/37 Mbps last time I ran a speedtest.
For sure the M6 Pro is a better device, though a lot more expensive ($100 for Orbic 5G, $350 and up for M6 Pro).

It came out 6 years before there was even 4G. I wonder what they think of me using that much data on a device with no 4G and a led screen.

I got the M2100 for $150 locally. These hotspots are surprisingly expensive, and generally hard to find on the used market. Getting my sim today, will report what speeds I get.

Just ordered Orbic 5G for 125+tax. Let's see how that goes
Anyone using M2100, how is that reporting in your account?

It reports as using the unlimited data and not the mobile hotspot data. Except when using a type c to Ethernet adapter. It counts that as mobile hotspot data.

Edit:
The Inseego M2100 (Verizon model)
Over Wifi pulls from unlimited data
Through USB to USB pulls from unlimited data
Through usb to ethernet adapter pulls from the 10gb mobile hotspot data

Thanks and repped. I would do it, but not worth the inquiry for me. Appreciate you, boss!
