Just an FYI if you're just getting this for the "free" tablet. The tablet is a Galaxy A7 lite which only costs $200 ($129 on Amazon)

They will still lock you to a 2 year EIP even if it's free (They'll make a monthly credit to cover the tablet EIP)

Meaning you'd end up paying $10 for 2 years ($240) for a $129 tablet.

So if you're only doing it for the tablet then it's not worth it

Not on the "free" tablet, lol. In all seriousness, don't choose the plan with TE in the title as that one is tax exclusive (you have 2 choices)

soc code ZB10HSTI is the one you want.

I have no idea but don't recall anyone stating that it had disappeared.

Is it this one?
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B089KBTXHR/

Its $60 now but if you click on promotion avail you get a free extender

You still need the Nokia 5g21 or Ark modem to go with it
It was on sale when I got it. Plus, you can order the free extender and cancel our return the extender and save about $10 more

But still counts as native data and not hotspot when front-end to a Nok5G21?
Correct. No need to mask anything. Just log in to Cudy router and change TTL to 67 or 68 and you should be good. But you have to use the cudy as your router. It's easier to change the TTL than to change your wifi name and password. It's very easy. Just make sure firmware is up so date is there's any problem

I've been chatting with T-Mobile on Facebook for the last two hours trying to get HDVPASS0 added to my plan. It's been agonizingly slow, with them taking like 20 minutes for each response.

The agent just told me the following: "Just wanted to circle back and let you know we are still here for you. I attempted to get the following added: [HDVPASS0 was omitted here in their message, but they confirmed in another message they meant to include it]

and received an error. I can triple check with my leadership to see if there's any way we're able to do on this end without engaging Business Care.

Let's try that to see if that helps at all. Lastly, I do want to let you know I'll be stepping away just until the top of the hour for a meeting. I anticipate on responding when I return, but if you need immediate assistance, I respect your time and want to be sure our team has full ownership of this."

Anyone have any thoughts on what the problem is and why they're getting an error?
Update: I guess triple checking with leadership actually worked!

I responded to this and told them they could just work on this but I'd be stepping away for a bit, and lo and behold an hour later or so while I was out, I suddenly got a text message thanking me for getting the HD Video pass, and I confirmed on fast.com that it's working.

Just to confirm, if this is my only plan with T-Mobile, there's no way for me to access my account on the web or in the app (or to keep track of my hotspot usage), right?

Once the sim is active in the tablet and you have a #, you just need to create an account for online access. Here: https://tfb.t-mobile.com/signup
Or call 1-877-590-4728 and ask them to create an account for you.

OK I am all setup with a $10/mo plan using my LLC business, also have a test drive TMHOS1 that I rooted using instructions from this thread and it now shows all data being used as device data so appears to be working Smilie

What do I need to do to next connect the TMHOS1 to my Netgear router (running DD-WRT) so I can use that as my main internet source?

After calling in as well as using T-Mo chat with both attempts striking out several weeks ago, I had success this evening with Twitter @TMobileHelp. I simply DM'd a single message asking them to add SOC code HDVPASS0 for HD Video, along with my account#, line phone# and other account details. The bot asked me to authenticate the account via T-mo login / 2FA code via email, and in 35 minutes a reply showed up that it had been added. I haven't actually tried using the tablet yet as I don't have it with me but account activity shows 'New Session Based Pass Added at exactly the time of the reply.

Search this thread for DD-WRT and/or DDWRT.

IF you got a business account with a SS # as a sole proprietor business then you'll get an online T-Mo account on the consumer side:

https://account.t-mobile.com/signin/v2/

IF you got a business account with a verified EIN # as a verified business then you'll get an online T-Mo account on the business side:

https://tfb.t-mobile.com/signup

There are differences between the two on what's available to you.

Using the T-Mobile dashboard

The issue is for those opening with EIN the account hub is not easy to self sign up. Apparently they need to do something on their end to provision your account.

Account hub also sucks compared to the consumer tmobile login website and app.

The sure shot way to know is, burn through 10GB data download whatever and if your speeds are still good. It's on device.

Or just go on Fast.com

If the speed shown is your full downstream then you're using hotspot data. If it shows 6-7 Mbps with HDPASS (around 1 Mbps without) then you're using device data.

How did you do it online? Have a link? Can't find this plan onlinr
I was able to activate this online, using a google link thru an RV forum.
The billing is $18.34/mo
8.34 discount for the tablet (paid off in 24mo)
5 auto pay discount (which is in error, i don't get it)
$10/mo in total (240 total contract cost)

I was able to get the tmobile sim card working on 6 different phones without issue.
I ended up going with the CUDY LT500D, which is a router with a sim card.
I had to modify the TTL settings & run all traffic thru a VPN (integrated into the router).
*time will tell if this gets my account flagged

The tablet was by far the slowest of every device i tested, including a Iphone 6s, and thus i'm selling it.
I was quite suprized that a new device would have a slower bandwidth than a iphone 8 generations old or an Android from 5 years ago.

I was getting speeds of over 450/50 over 5G, which is pretty impressive.
The 4G speeds are less impressive, at like 15/5, which is usable, but not impressive.
