Just an FYI if you're just getting this for the "free" tablet. The tablet is a Galaxy A7 lite which only costs $200 ($129 on Amazon)

They will still lock you to a 2 year EIP even if it's free (They'll make a monthly credit to cover the tablet EIP)

Meaning you'd end up paying $10 for 2 years ($240) for a $129 tablet.

So if you're only doing it for the tablet then it's not worth it

Not on the "free" tablet, lol. In all seriousness, don't choose the plan with TE in the title as that one is tax exclusive (you have 2 choices)

soc code ZB10HSTI is the one you want.

is it necessary to reboot router or is the "service restart_firewall" all that is needed?
No need to reboot, but realized this might be relevant - I'm using the router WAN port for internet. Not USB. Maybe that's the difference?

In my reading, yes, I do believe WAN vs USB may impact the script..... At least that what I have gathered from some other reading on various forums. For my application, it will be just like yours, 5g21 to Asus via ethernet via the WAN port.

Quick follow up ? I see your ip for the 5g21 is 192.168.12.1 in the script. Will it matter my 5g21 shows an ip of 192.168.12.176? Thx again!

What does it mean to WISP into a neighbor's wifi?
WISP is when one of your wireless ports acts as a WAN port to connect to another wireless network and use that connection to serve your network with Internet access. The modem/router that Cox rents to it's customers called panoramic creates a guest network on all there customer routers called coxwifi. Any cox customer can connect to it with your own cox user name and password. The reason I connect to it is it has unlimited data. It's a good way to not go over your data allowment of 1.2 terabits with Cox.

I was using an ethernet to usb adapter , Android 11 and 12 support it. That might be a difference.

I just ordered KVD21 from eBay, hope it will be good, get it next week

For those with KVD21, here is a link to a script that creates a gui to turn on/off wifi

You rename file extension with ps1 and right click, run with powershell (in Windows)

There is a Nater Tater YT video that explains it

I've tried positioning it throughout my place especially near windows, but I can't exceed two bars. From cellmapper.net, it turns out that I'm not in the 5G zone even though there are a couple 5G towers near me and the T-Mobile coverage map says that I'm swimming in 5G. So sadly I'm only pulling about 20 Mbps, but it's good enough for me because I'm wired into my router and I don't notice any lag compared to my old setup. With regards to eBay, I already told them about the issue. Basically if the seller doesn't respond in 5 days, I can close the case which will trigger a full refund and I can keep the item.

Does anyone know if it's possible to get a second SIM card or clone the original one, so I can use the service with my phone without a second line? Or do I resort to taking the SIM card out of the gateway to put into my phone whenever I leave my place?
If you have poor coverage, then there is not need to mess around with 5G. 4G signal has better range and penetration. The free TMOHS1 can easily hit 55Mbps with good signal. Speed can drop below 15Mbps during peak period. The unit is about the size of a pack of cigarette.
Need to swap SIM if you want to use data on another device.

I don't recall, but I think I changed it to my router IP (192.168.0.1).

kinda shitty customer service to gain a new business line and have no info access or interaction to give your new customer. as a longtime verizon customer my first tmobile experience trial is waiting for a backordered device after a biz credit approval of 12 lines that are locked in the sky.

did it for the great deal and knew ahead of time it was backordered but after calling as a first time customer I felt shafted and hopes not high..

They should really bend backwards a little more for a new customer with a $10 line of service and a "free" tablet purchase.

Sure, but you have to remember that old SD used to be like this where people would work together on a deal.

This deal has made a big impact on my data usage and certainly locked me into a plan that (hopefully) will last a long time.

All the info you would need is in this thread and just a search away, and active posters are willing to help someone out.

With that said, my Orbic 5G has now started showing hotspot data as of my bill reset 02/01 unfortunately. Swapping sim to my TMOHS1 immediately stopped the usage, though dropping speeds down to 50/10mbps.I'm unsure why since I did not take it on my last international trip and used the eSIM of this plan on my phone which worked perfectly.

My usage is also not a ton, mostly around 50-60gb a month.
Sorry to hear this. Maybe I shouldn't try getting another Orbic 5G (was going to buy another and sell the old one) at this point and just stick with my M2100.
