Just an FYI if you're just getting this for the "free" tablet. The tablet is a Galaxy A7 lite which only costs $200 ($129 on Amazon)

They will still lock you to a 2 year EIP even if it's free (They'll make a monthly credit to cover the tablet EIP)

Meaning you'd end up paying $10 for 2 years ($240) for a $129 tablet.

So if you're only doing it for the tablet then it's not worth it

Not on the "free" tablet, lol. In all seriousness, don't choose the plan with TE in the title as that one is tax exclusive (you have 2 choices)

soc code ZB10HSTI is the one you want.

So I just added a second line on my account, fully expecting it to be $15 a month instead of $10. Now looking at my billing portal the first line is showing up as $7/mo after a $3 device credit ( I did pay for the Samsung tablet the first time), and the second line is showing up as $6.50/mo? No idea what's going on here, certainly not complaining neither.

Just ordered the router from the above deal, anyone has success with TTL mod to use non-hotspot data via this kind of router?

The fastest I've seen on the LTE450/LT500 devices is 55-60 Mbps down and ~25 Mbps upload. Other low end cat4 modems, like the TMOHS1, should be about the same. A location about 10 blocks away gets me one third these speeds so it's obviously dependent on cell signal at the location. TTL 64 on the Cudy itself as it has both the LTE modem and wifi router in one.
What are the primary differences between the LT450 and LT500? Do you recommend one more than the other? Also, since you wrote this, is there any other better device or combination of devices that you could recommend? I'd really like to get a 5G modem/router, but I don't know if the significantly higher price is worth it to get > 50 Mbps speed. Thanks!

I saw no practical difference between the LT450 and LT500 so I'd buy whatever one I found was cheapest. If you want to try 5G on the cheap, look up "5G21" or "KVD21" on this thread. Those Nokia/Arcadyan t-mobile home internet routers can be bought used for $50 or less. They'll need to be coupled with a standalone wifi router that does the TTL mod per the posts here by various users.

Edit: I have no experience with either of these but apparently the Suncomm SE06 Pro or CP520 are good 5G options for under $300 if you purchase from Alibaba/AliExpress.

So this is an interesting problem. The multiple ways of using this $10 line for home internet are:

1. T-Mobile Gateway + cudy - will give you LTE at the best because of the Cudy limitation
2. M2100 hotspot device - Hit or a miss - native out of the box but less reliable
3. Orbic 5G hotspot device - more reliable than the m2100, however some people have reported throttling after 1st couple of months
4. Gateway + Project Genesis - works most reliably
5. TMOHS1 - ~ 30-50 mbps out of the box, no TTL update required
6. Tmobile Franklin - ~30-50 mbps with TTL update - the most reliable as of right now, however limited speed..

I am going to update the wiki with this info and hope people can update/correct it.
TMOHS1 and Franklin hotspot devices can go over the 10gb hotspot limit out of the box?

.
Why is this a limitation of Cudy? If the Gateway gets 5g speed of 200Mbps it should be able to pass that to a Cudy router if ttl is modified

That quote was referencing the download speed limitation of the CAT4 modems in Cudy LT450/LT500 routers.

Hey yall, I didn't wanna make a new thread but this deal is BACK!

I made two $10 business tablet lines today, sim only, after a couple days of fumbling around with T-mobile tech support's lack of business support. Unfortunately he was unable to give me the Tax Inclusion (TI) version of the plan and suggested I talk/chat with support about changing it from my current Tax Exclusion (TE) version plan once i get my sim cards. No biggie, I'm happy. Applause

I don't see this on the TMOB site - only the $15 TI plan. Do you have a link?

No, there's no link. I first learned about it from chatting with T-Force as I was initially interested in the $15 plan. I asked if the $10 plan was still available and she said no and then looked into other tablet promotions they have now and turns out the $10 plan has returned for a limited time.

Well, I too was able to sign-up the $10 TI plan back in September by accident. Meanwhile I also heard others were having issues to sign up the TI plan.

It's quite a bit YMMV there. I wouldn't say the deal is back, more like some privileged reps can still access this plan while others can't.

1. Yes
2. Yes, it's the TTL # that make it look like unlimited data and not as hotspot data.
3. Nothing

TTL=Time To Live
I have the Nokia trashcan gateway with an openWRT router with its TTL set to 66 but I can't get past the 10gb hotspot, so I tried setting it to 65 and still the same.

Any suggestions? Thank you

EDIT:
After some testing the right TTL on the router for use with the Nokia Gateway is 66.

This plan is still available.

Just as another data point, no issues with data in Europe for 2 weeks, worked great on my iPhone, also took advantage of 2 full in flight transatlantic internet sessions on United which were free with this plan.

Since this is a business plan, I assume they aren't going to make changes hopefully : https://www.cnet.com/tech/mobile/...-november/

Is there an inexpensive way to have 5G and locked band?

When I use kvd21, I may get 100M or 2M, depending on which band is used at that moment. 2M is unusable.

If I use mofi4500 and lock the band, I get constant 20M because LTE only, which is fine but 100M is a lot better. Mofi also has a built-in TTL setting, good but not super important.

So is there an inexpensive solution to get constant 100M in this case? Most 3rd party 5G routers are very expensive and I'm not sure if they even lock bands.

Thank you.
