Just an FYI if you're just getting this for the "free" tablet. The tablet is a Galaxy A7 lite which only costs $200 ($129 on Amazon)

They will still lock you to a 2 year EIP even if it's free (They'll make a monthly credit to cover the tablet EIP)

Meaning you'd end up paying $10 for 2 years ($240) for a $129 tablet.

So if you're only doing it for the tablet then it's not worth it

Not on the "free" tablet, lol. In all seriousness, don't choose the plan with TE in the title as that one is tax exclusive (you have 2 choices)

soc code ZB10HSTI is the one you want.

No. M2000 needs to be modded.
Sorry, I think I am not understanding and confused. In reading through the posts, I thought if you connect a LTE or 5g router (or even a cell phone) to a GL-inet or Cudy and then changing the TTL you can hide the hotspot. Or is it an issue with m2000 IMEI? Am I missing something?

It won't work unless device is rooted and modded. Phone has to be rooted. Otherwise, moment you share data using hotspot feature on phone, it identifies as hotspot data. Please ignore if I wrote otherwise. I may have been mistaken.

Cool, and m2000 vs m2100? Does one work better for hotspot vs mobile data, throttle vs not? Thanks!

Those two devices are the polar opposite. The m2100 works just like you want it to using mobile data right out of the box with no modifications or anything. It's actually the easiest device to setup for this plan out of all the devices I've used. You don't even have to change the IMEI as it shows up as a phone on the plan. I have a m2000 and I don't think it works at all without some fancy modding.

The m21000 doesn't have all the bands though and I've never seen it show 5G UC. It also takes forever to come on and can be "buggy" but it is in my experience the only device I've used that "works" by just putting the SIM card in it.

I am using this setup (T-mo gateway + Openwrt router) and it is working most of the time quite well. Speeds seem great, but I am having issues with Teams and Xoom video freezing during meetings. I was wondering if anyone has a solution that works for them. I was thinking setting up a VPN may help, but I am not sure. I was also thinking I could forward a port, however, I am not sure that will work either because the gateway is using DNS, and the IP cannot be setup as static.

Thank you in advance for reading

I've been using the T-Mobile quanta d53 hotspot with a Cudy router to adjust the TTL and it's been great. However, I'm hoping to carry around one device instead of two. I have the GL.inet spitz ax but wanted something smaller. I was looking into using the imeego m3000 because I see services to remotely mod the IMEI and the TTL values. Does anyone have experiences with these services or know of a how-to guide to do it myself? Thanks

That guy Rich is legit. He helped mod my nighthawk remotely. You can also ship your device to him to service 👍

3 Questions,

1. Can I add another line? Will it still be $10/month or will it be new $15/month line? I heard they recently ended the Business lines with taxes included, now taxes are extra

2. I was using my line on old TMOHS1, It was working great with TTL script (i forgot where I got it) but it was working flawless. I lost it recently. Any recommendations for cheap hotspot? Just I just buy another TMOHS1? How about MR1100/Nighthawk M1? Or maybe even Inseego M2000 5G on eBay? Inseego can't edit TTL but I don't mind that, just need it in car for kid, I think 10 GB/month hotspot might be enough for it.

3. Did T-mobile lift the streaming limit? I don't why but Fast.com/Netflix/Youtube all show full speed for me vs speedtest (like 50~80 Mbps). I am not using any VPN. I thought it was supposed to be like 12 Mbps or something max with HDPASS? But fast.com shows faster speed than that for me.

Thanks, Sorry for long post.

If you already have a $10 line on your account, call 844-211-5308 and ask them to add another of the same. That's what I was able to do about 2 months ago without any issues. However, they could not add HDVPASS0 for some reason. But as others have mentioned, T-Mobile Business on Twitter/X added it with no problem.

If you're just looking to have a hotspot for the car, the Inseego M2100 is decent, though it doesn't have all of the 5G bands. But it's probably a reasonable option given its size, portability, and relatively cheap price. Don't get the M2000 though, I don't think that works at all.

I don't know much about the speed cap with HDVPASS0 other than what you already stated.

.

I dont think so. When I used FAST for the first second it goes really high but than it quickly throttles to around 6Mpbs with HDPASS

From what I was told when my Parents consumer account didn't have HD video enabled, but plan included it. It would buffer at anything higher then 480p. Once I enabled HD Video on their account, it's didn't buffer at all anymore!
Is there a way to enable HD video myself? I have some issues at times.

Thank you

Depends on the plan but you can do it online I assume! If not then call 611.

Thank you! Do you know where to look for it? I rarely log onto the crappy portal, but I will, and do some looking. A quick search only yields results that are not helpful

Should be under your addons for your line!

eBay, used, $125. Seller said it was locked to Tmo, and the power on screen shows a Tmo logo. If you don't need portability the Spitz from Gl.iNet works much better and can do a lot more for tuning you cell connection.
Does the M3000b data count as tablet or hotspot data?
