People knew wed's deal was a risk and many posted that they could not replicate the deal and had to return the drill only. Yet, these risk takers blame HD for wasting their time. The risk takers wasted HD's time and other customers time.

No the default charger is rated for 120V max.

You could probably get a new charger or a low power transformer - I doubt the battery charger would draw too much.

But this is a terrible deal. Not worth getting

No, the chargers here are not rated to 240v, they are only 110v. There are some Asian countries that have 220v chargers, as I have personally seen them in Vietnam which is 220v. Also, Australia has a line of ryobi tools and their electrical system is 230v. There are cheap voltage converters that convert whatever power you have down to 110v, or simply cut off the wall wart that these come with, and add another local wall wart with about a 22v output.

Why would anybody purchase this when the same combo + 2 more tools is available for $80, from last week's deal. That is still alive

Also to add, this is a good deal, the battery isn't a regular battery, it is an HP battery which has better cells and can output quite a bit of power (over 60a) if necessary. It helps on things like the recip saw or circ saw. It helps a bit more due to the voltage sag under load being much less.

For the average homeowners, the 4ah batteries are nice to have but you will find yourself preferring the 1.5ah. They are much lighter, and I havent come across many projects that drain batteries that quick. Only time my 4ah is a must is extensive sanding and leaf blower. Drills, nail gun, caulk gun, flashlight (hugely underrated), all have never drained the battery even during weekend projects without a recharge. I dont use my reciprocal or circular saw enough, but again depending on the work they would probably benefit from the 4ah, especially the circular.

No. I use a voltage converter for my house in SE Asia. Only need a small one, maybe 150 to 300 watts. Look at the charger specs.

Because the batteries for that deal are 1.5ah. The ones you get here are high performance 4ah batteries, which regularly cost $170 for a pack of 2.

People seem not to realize these are the newer, more expensive, and higher quality high performance batteries, which make this a superb deal if you need the tools. If you don't, you can probably sell both for the same price (or more) you pay here while keeping both batteries, charger, and the tool bag, which pretty much means you got them for free.
