What Samsung phone are you using? Must be really old. The year is 2022. Not the old Samsung of the past. There is barely any bloat on my 2020 Samsung. You can delete lot of apps but so many Samsung apps are really good to use especially if one is in the Samsung ecosystem. Samsung health and Galaxy wearable apps are important to me. Bixby is bloat but it is pretty much hidden in the folder. As for duplicate apps, I suggest you to put apps in app folders. Seeing duplicate apps next to each other would annoy me. I put the specific Google apps in a Google folder, Microsoft apps in Microsoft folder and Samsung apps in Samsung folder. It makes it all more organized and easier to find.

Samsung user interface greatly improved over the years. As for Samsung slowing down? Past issue. Not anymore. Not much different than using older iPhones and yes I have lots of iPhones. More iPhones than Samsung. They get slower and slower over time. Just because an older iPhone is getting updates, do not assume it is running as great as year 1.

I personally would not upgrade. The Note 10+ has a bigger screen if that matters and SD card. If you don't care about those factors then I suppose these would be an upgrade.

Although I couldn't bring myself to trade in a 2 year old top-end model phone for the current year entry-level phone.

I'm seeing tons of bad reviews on the S20, 21, and the new 22. Bad battery life, no SD card, bloatware and phone slow and laggy. I'm coming from a galaxy S9 and Def could use an upgrade, but I wait until a phone that is actually legit. Does anyone personally recommend the 20 or 21, citing that the battery life, lagging, bloatware, etc. aren't actually true like reviews claim?
