Wow, I haven't laid eyes on one of these since 1991 at my grandparents' house. I guess good designs last?
We used to take them off the wall and use them as pretend hand guillotines, then go help ourselves to some Dansk butter cookies, only to end up sewing something.
Just fyi I bought this a couple months back and returned it after it failed to hold two light jackets and a hat. One of the prongs just snapped right off at some point in the night.

Odd. We have it in our laundry room and the kids hang their backpacks that are literally full of rocks on it.
The screws and anchors that came with it are absolute crap. I don't usually use what is provided but since they show and are brass colored I tried them. Anchors snapped and finding brass or gold colored screws to match it was difficult. I also wish when stretched to be nice and even it has 2 holes that would hit a stud. Instead of just went for 1 stud and anchored the rest.

We have one of these made of wood, it looks like it is 50+ yrs old and still in great condition. It was the previous homeowners and was left in the basement. We spray primed it, and then spray painted it an accent color. Looks great by the front door
$8 is a good deal for a metal one. but this won't be actual brass, just a FYi

Dollar to donuts that it's not brass...
Nowadays they label stuff copper, brass and even nickel and it turns out it's just the color.
