I have the DOD Meatbox and like it. It has useful settings for the price. It's for the bass.

EDIT: Trying to buy all 3 pedals got rid of the free shipping method - had to place multiple orders for it to work.

Look at ebay. Crazy how the meatbox reissue and 250 preamp is more expensive used on ebay than harmon
It just goes to show how undervalued many of these pedals were in the few $40 sales they had 3 years ago.

I paid: Total: $199.00 08-2019 thinking they would go up in price or just never be made again.
That hurts, but others...don't feel bad about roasting. So much other gear has taken care of this loss.
Edit: ha, Reverb just now:
1 new from $199.99
13 used from $187.38
I tend to agree.
I worked in the higher end of the pro audio/guitar sales in the '80s and '90s into the early 2000s and DOD was considered very "low end" and not very desirable.
Most of the "vintage" '70s DOD pedals got little or no action, to put it another way, you couldn't give them away. I can remember being at guitar shows when early MXR pedals were just starting to go from $100 got you the whole box full of old Phase 90s and Distortion+s etc to "pick which you want for $25 each". At that same time, old '70s DOD pedals could be had for next to nothing.
.
And could still run them into tube amp, or cab. Or FRFR, Keybaord amp conversely as needed; like more than guitar mixed.
You'll still want a 12" speaker for gigging; but it does not have to be a Guitar speak range/character with modeling. Even something like high end computer speaker works for practice; where stadium volume won't work.
So the cheapest is still a matched combo amp/speaker. I'm thinking middle of the road home use and up to garage band portable. 25 to 30 lbs. 1x12". 5 to 15W tube or 40 to 50W solid state(and modeling). Katana 100 Mk2 (under $250 deal) for everything. Katana 50 Mk2 (around @200 or less total/used GC) for lighter lb and less cash. $150 could get you a mk1 AKA Katana 50.
A good tube combo may lack as much tone flexibility and require extras.
Because the tiny stuff can be done with what have you. And the heavy duty stuff is being asked to turn down, even is loud rock concerts. So the thing is to get just enough and if you want to play a stadium, or really large room you can mike your sane carry combo. Most places have there own PA etc.
I'm no pro; just been researching. YMMV
