I think it's worth paying $10 more for the CMR 6 TB over the SMR one.
Strangely I was able to do the $10 off locker pickup promo a second time in this account, but another account which never has used locker pickup is ineligible for the $10 locker promo. Who qualifies for Amazon's promos rarely makes sense. Normally I'd buy from WD directly to avoid Amazon, but it seems people don't trust WD's packaging.
